Municipal solid waste poses a risk on surrounding environment and public health, mainly because of unscientific disposal and shortage of facilities for proper handling and recycling of leachate. This research article objective is to pinpoint the indigenous fungal isolates of waste leachate samples. Therefore, we carried out biosorption of Cd2+ tested the applicability by applying indigenous fungal isolates. The limited number of fungal isolates was found based on their ability for biosorption of Cd2+ metal. The fungal strains Trichoderma sp., Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus flavus were reported as potential strains for metal exclusion ability from the leachate. Among them, the Trichoderma sp. was found as excellent fungal agent for Cd2+ absorption. The optimum pH was 5.5 ± 1, temperature 45 °C, and spore concentration 10?5 to achieve the maximum biosorption, and 35 days of incubation period were required by three strains. The maximum metal biosorption achieved was comparable for the three isolates: 56.34% by Trichoderma sp., 44.74 and 42.04% by A. niger and A. flavus, respectively. Concluding, the further intending application to identified potentially fungal isolates is able to improve the efficiency of metal biosorption. These strains are recommended for development of consortia could become a best technique for MSW leachate treatment if its reliability and applicability should be verified prior to technology acceptance.  相似文献

Mosasauroid squamates were abundant and had a worldwide distribution during the Late Cretaceous, but records from Sub-Saharan Africa are comparatively scanty and based mainly on fragmentary and isolated material. Here new mosasaur remains from the Maastrichtian (Upper Cretaceous) of Dakhla Oasis in the South-Western Desert of Egypt are recorded, including: a small, fragmentary right dentary of an indeterminate mosasaurine with a single tooth preserved in situ and an isolated tooth crown of the genus Globidens. This material stems from fossiliferous, calcareous sandstones with intercalated shales that form the lower portion of the Dakhla Formation, known to be an intertidal to subtidal deposit. Previously recorded mosasaur remains from the Eastern Desert in Egypt included Globidens phosphaticus, Platecarpus sp., and Igdamanosaurus aegyptiacus. In Africa, mosasaurs of the Maastrichtian age have been recorded from Morocco, Nigeria, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Niger. The newly collected material from Dakhla Oasis currently constitutes the youngest record of mosasaurs in Egypt.  相似文献

A palynofloral assemblage has been recorded from the intertrappean bed exposed at a new locality, near Naredi, on Naliya-Narayan Sarovar Road in western Kutch, Gujarat. This intertrappean bed (ca. 0.6 m thick) of grey laminated clay is underlain and overlain by the volcanic traps. The assemblage recovered from this bed includes algal and fungal remains, pteridophytic spores, angiospermous pollen as well as cuticles of terrestrial plants. Important palynotaxa recovered are Azolla sp., Lygodiumsporites lakiensis, Polypodiaceaesporites intrapunctatus, Compositoipollenites argutus, C. conicus, Graminidites media, Ladakhipollenites minutus, Lakiapollis ovatus, Matanomadhiasulcites sp., etc. Besides, a variety of fungal remains belonging to the genera Dictyosporites, Frasnacritetrus (Tetraploa), Kutchiathyrites, Palaeomycites (VAM fungi), Papulosporonites, Parmathyrites, Phragmothyrites, Polycellaesporonites (Alternaria), etc have been recorded. It has been deduced that this intertrappean bed was deposited in a shallow depression over the trap during short interval of quiescence in a tropical-subtropical climate. The age of the intertrappean bed is suggested as Early Palaeocene.  相似文献

The first fossil echinoids are recorded from the Cayman Islands. A regular echinoid, Arbacia? sp., the spatangoids Brissus sp. cf. B. oblongus Wright and Schizaster sp. cf. S. americanus (Clark), and the clypeasteroid Clypeaster sp. are from the Middle Miocene Cayman Formation. Test fragments of the mellitid clypeasteroid, Leodia sexiesperforata (Leske), are from the Late Pleistocene Ironshore Formation. Miocene echinoids are preserved as (mainly internal) moulds; hence, all species are left in open nomenclature because of uncertainties regarding test architecture. All Miocene taxa are recorded from single specimens apart from the 27 assigned to Brissus. Schizaster sp. cf. S. americanus (Clark) is compared to a species from the Oligocene of the south‐east USA. Brissus sp. cf. B. oblongus is close in gross morphology to a taxon from the Miocene of Malta. Leodia sexiesperforata is identified from fragments with confidence, being the only extant Antillean sand dollar with elongate ambulacral petals that is limited to carbonate substrates. The Miocene echinoids of Grand Cayman, although of limited diversity, are mainly comprised of genera common in comparable mid‐Cenozoic carbonate environments. Early Cambrian univalve molluscs are predominantly represented by microscopic forms (body length of 1–3 mm), preserved mainly as phosphatised internal moulds with limited definable features. Macromolluscs (≥ 5 mm) are generally rare, occur in low abundance and are poorly preserved, often lacking apical features and ornament which hinders taxonomic assessment. New and previously undescribed material from lower Cambrian Hawker Group carbonates of the Flinders Ranges in South Australia includes four new taxa, Minastirithella silivreni gen. et sp. nov., Galeacalvus coronarius gen. et sp. nov., Helcionella histosia sp. nov., and Ilsanella enallaxa sp. nov. Three-dimensional silicified shell material preserved with intact apices offers new insight into protoconch morphology, growth habit (isometric vs. allometric) and developmental mode. This material supports previous suggestions that some micromollusc taxa may in fact be early ontogenetic stages (juveniles) of larger macroscopic taxa; such that the millimetric size range of helcionelloids conforms to the dimensions of earliest apical portion in some macromolluscs documented herein. However, taphonomic limitations associated with phosphatisation show that the morphology (especially height vs. width) of the apex can greatly influence the probability of steinkern formation and preservation potential for both micro- and macro-scale helcionelloids. Artificial inflation in the appearance of millimetric helcionelloids with an optimal morphology for phosphatisation is thus directly linked to taphonomic biases in the fossil record.  相似文献

In the present study, a widely used reactive dye, Color Index (C.I.) Reactive Blue 268 was utilized for mycoremediation by Aspergillus fumigatus isolated from textile effluent. Complete decolorization of the test dye (0.1 g L?1) was recorded within 6 days of static incubation at 27 °C in Czapek Dox broth (CDB). However, the isolate was unable to utilize the dye as a sole source of energy in Czapek Dox agar and CDB in absence of sucrose and obligate requirement of a labile carbon source, i.e., sucrose needed for induction of decolorization. Biosorption seems to play the pivotal role in decolorization as evident by coloring of the fungal biomass as that of dye color. The optimal conditions for the highest decolorization were found at 30 °C and pH 6.0 with 6-day-old inoculums supplemented with sucrose (10 g L?1) and ammonium chloride (2 g L?1) as a carbon and nitrogen source, respectively. The response of the isolate to increasing dye concentrations was found to be growth inhibitory. Surprisingly, about 65 % of dye decolorization was recorded with heat-inactivated biomass powder within 6 days of static incubation supporting the fact of fungal biosorption. Results of this study have established the candidature of the isolate for biotechnological removal of dyes from disreputable dying effluents.  相似文献

Shale samples from designated units of the Imo, Nsukka, Mamu, Enugu and Nkporo Formations of the Anambra Basin were subjected to X-ray diffraction and geotechnical index tests to determine the potential of the Formations to either create hydrocarbon migration pathways or to form seals for hydrocarbon entrapment. The X-ray diffraction results indicate that the shales are made up of silicate minerals with carbonates and sulphates. Results of the geotechnical index tests showed that the plasticity index (PI) for the Enugu shale ranges from 16 to 24 (average of 20) while the toughness index (TI) ranges from 0.4 to 0.8 (average of 0.7). The PI for the shales of Imo and Nsukka Formations ranges from 62 to 72 and 34–59 with averages of 67 and 46 respectively while their TIs range from 0.8 to 1.7 and 1.5–2.2 with averages of 1.3 and 1.9, respectively. These properties dispose the Enugu shale to easy amenability to loss of cohesion, deforming in a brittle manner, when subjected to shearing stress with the ability to create joints and faults that are pathways of hydrocarbon migration. Conversely, the properties of the shales of the Imo and Nsukka Formations give them the capacity to absorb high shearing stress without loss of cohesion thereby deforming in a ductile manner, which prevents the leakage of fluids in fluid migration. Hence, Enugu shale has the highest potential of creating hydrocarbon pathways while the shales of the Imo and Nsukka Formations are better seal rocks than others.  相似文献

Conclusion The dike-pond system is an excellent artificial ecological agriculture system. With its special structure, it has many advantages compared with the other agricultural productions. In the system, the fertilizer, water and soil can be readjusted automatically, and flood and drought calamities can be prevented, so that the inferior land can be made fertile. The residues from planting and from stock/poultry raising can be recycled within the system. It is the most important that the fertilizer and feeds can be satisfied from within the system. This in itself could be a kind of break-through in agricultural development. A new form of fish feed supply is created saving input of purchased fertilizer and feeds as well as enhancing the development of planting, fishery and animal husbandry.The system has been attracting more and more attention from home and abroad. It has spread quickly to some other parts of China, and has begun to be appear abroad. The system is suitable for the areas with resembling the Pearl River delta elsewhere in Asia, Africa and South America, especially for lowlying water-logged land which is normally reclaimed by constructing water conservancy projects. In the latter case, the cost of pumping water is high, but the system is generally unstable compared with the stable, high yield dike-pond system. So a brilliant future can be envisaged for the dike-pond system.  相似文献

In the hypersaline lagoon at Laguna Figueroa vertically stratified diverse communities of microorganisms thrive. The modern sediments of Baja California at Laguna Figueroa contain cyanobacterial communities and sedimentary structures produced by these blue greens that have already been studied by Horodyski and his colleagues. This paper provides an introduction to the complex microbial communities, primarily those that underlie the laminated Microcoleus mats. They are composed of anaerobic photosynthetic and heterotrophic bacteria.The following genera of cyanobacteria at least are components of these mat communities: Lyngbya, Microcoleus, Entophysalis, Phormidium, Pseudoanabaena, Anabaena and Schizothrix. Among the photosynthetic bacteria several species of Thiocapsa-like microbes formed major surface components of certain mats and scums; rhodospirilli, rhodopseudomonads, chromatis and others were seen.The following nonphotosynthetic bacteria were identified: Nocardia sp., three types of spirilli, two types of Spirochaeta sp., two types of Desulfovibria sp., a new strain of red Beneckea and four distinctive unidentified coccoid and filamentous bacteria. Reasons are given for believing several of the species are new to science and that the microbial diversity is far greater than the approximately twenty species reported here. Eukaryotes are extremely rare. Only one species of animal, a herpachtechoid copepod, was ever seen in the 8-km long microbial communities of the hypersaline basin. Dunaliella salina, a chlorophyte and Aspergillus sydowi, an ascomycetous fungus were the only eukaryotes that were observed to be regular components of mat communities. Ciliates, amoebae (including a chrysarchnion-like microbe) and diatom tests, mostly empty, were the only other eukaryotes observed. Attempts to enrich for eukaryotic microorganisms were not successful whereas attempts to enrich for bacteria, especially anaerobes led to such a profusion of forms that to continue detailed study of them was beyond our means. Unidentified small rods and cocci constituted the largest fraction of individuals in the subsurface community. The microbes isolated from mats are adapted for alternating dry and wet conditions as well as high concentrations of salt and low concentrations of oxygen.  相似文献

为进一步丰富新疆西准噶尔地区泥盆纪-石炭纪(D-C)之交古生物地层资料,为研究区泥盆和石炭系划分、古环境重建提供新的证据,经野外采样、室内处理等工作,首次报道了西准噶尔俄姆哈地区D-C之交介形类9属12种(包括1新种):Cavellina sublatiovata, C.cf.obesa, C.sp., Glyptopleura sp., Healdianella renalata, H.sp., Bairdiocypris vafra, Bairdia sp., Rectobairdia sp., Fabalicypris sp., Youngiella calvata, Coelonella xizhunensis sp.nov..根据介形类生物地层,并参照共生的其他门类化石,认为西准噶尔俄姆哈剖面至少在第3层就进入了早石炭世,进一步证明了洪古勒楞组的时代应该是晚泥盆世-早石炭世.介形类的古生态研究表明,西准噶尔俄姆哈地区是火山岛弧区在火山间歇期的近岸浅水沉积环境.   相似文献

The management of uranium tailings, generated as a by-product of ore processing, is particularly important to minimize the environmental footprint of the industry. A clear understanding of tailings slurry behavior is required at the time of deposition to help evaluate the storage capacity and life span of the containment facilities. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the segregation and self-weight settling properties of uranium tailings. Detailed laboratory investigations were conducted on tailings from 4, 5, and 6 % nominal mill feeds (high-grade McArthur River ores blended with special wastes on site) from the Cameco Key Lake operation. The results indicate that the three uranium tailings can be characterized as a sandy silt material with a negligible amount of clay. Their depositional behavior is governed by the initial solids content of the slurry. The investigated tailings showed insignificant segregation between 25 and 40 % initial solids content. The initial hydraulic conductivity during settling was about 10?4 m/s at a void ratio of 4 and was increased by half an order of magnitude for the 4 % mill feed, and by almost two orders of magnitude for the 5 and 6 % mill feeds at a void ratio of 8. Over the same range of initial void ratio, the settling potential increased threefold: from 8 to 24 % for the 4 % mill feed and from 12 to 36 % for the 5 and 6 % mill feeds. The better rate and amount of dewatering of future high mill feed tailings as compared to the current low mill feed tailings means that the onsite containment facility can store more tailings thereby supporting a longer life span of the mill.  相似文献

首次较系统报道了产于甘肃酒泉盆地下白垩统的植物化石,分为两个植物组合。Athrotaxites-Solenites组合产于赤金堡组上段,有Solenites luanpingensis Wang,Pityocladus cf.i waianus(ishi)Chow,Pityocladus sp.,Athrotaxites berryi Bell等,时代大致为早白垩世早期,反映潮湿或半干旱半潮湿气候。Brachyphyllum-Pseudofrenelopsis组合见于中沟组上部,包括Sphenopterissp.,Pseudofrenelopsis dalatzensis(Chowet Tsao)Cao ex Zhou,Cupressinocladus elegans(Chow)Chow,Cupressinocladus sp.,Pagiophyllumyumenense sp.nov.,Pagiophyllumcompressum sp.nov.,Pagiophyllum sp.,Brachyphyllumningshiaense Chow et Tsao,Brachyphyllumobtusum Chow et Tsao,Elatocladus sp.,Podozamites sp.,Carpolithus sp.等12种,时代为Aptian-Albian期,反映干旱型气候。  相似文献

<正>The classification and phytogeny of the basal Vespina(=Orussoidea+Apocrita)are reconsidered based primarily on rich and well preserved material from the Middle Jurassic of Daohugou in Inner Mongolia,China. Comparatively smooth morphological transitions are traced from a Xiphydriidae-like ancestor toward Orussoidea via the Jurassic family Karatavitidae,and through Karatavitidae and the Jurassic and Early Cretaceous family Ephialtitidae independently to Stephanidae,to Evanioidea,and,via the extinct Jurassic Kuafuidae fam.nov.to the remaining Apocrita.New hypothesis is proposed concerning development of the characteristic wasp-waist of Apocrita,which is supposed to appear independently and in different ways in Evanioidea and in the rest of Apocrita.As a result,six infraorders are proposed for the suborder Vespina with the following taxonomic structure:infraorder Orussomorpha including the only superfamily Orussoidea(Karatavitidae+Paroryssidae + Orussidae),infraorder Stephanomorpha with the only superfamily Stephanoidea(Ephialtitidae+Stephanidae), infraorder Evaniomorpha with the only superfamily Evanioidea of traditional composition,infraorder Ceraphronomorpha with the superfamilies Ceraphronoidea s.str.and monotypical Megalyroidea and Trigonaloidea,and the infraorders Proctotrupomorpha,Ichneumonomorpha,and Vespomorpha of traditional composition.The family Kuafuidae is unplaced to infraorder because it is putatively paraphyletic with respect to Ceraphronomorpha,Proctotrupomorpha,Ichneumonomorpha and Vespomorpha.Described as new are Karatavites junfengi sp.nov,Praeratavites wuhuaensis sp.nov.,P.perspicuus sp.nov.,Postxiphydria daohugouensis gen.et sp.nov.,P.ningchengensis gen.et sp.nov.,Postxiphydroides strenuus gen.et sp.nov.,Praeratavitoides amabilis gen.et sp.nov.,Proapocrtius densipediculus sp.nov.,P.sculptus sp.nov.,P.longantennatus sp.nov., P.formosus sp.nov.,P.atropus sp.nov.,P.elegans sp.nov.,Stephanogaster pristinus sp.nov.,Asiephialtites lini sp. nov.,Praeproapocritus vulgatus gen.et sp.nov.,Sinaulacogastrinus solidus gen.et sp.nov.,Sinevania speciosa gen. et sp.nov.,Eonevania robusta gen.et sp.nov.,Kuafua polyneura gen.et sp.nov.(all from the Middle Jurassic of Daohugou),as well as Kuafuidae fam.nov.including Kuafua gen.nov.as well as Arthrogaster Rasnitsyn,1975,and Leptogastrella Rasnitsyn,1975 from the Upper Jurassic of Karatau in Kazakhstan.  相似文献

广西桂林地区首次发现晚三叠世孢粉化石27属37种,可称为Dictyophylidites-Canali-zonospora-Ovalipolis-Riccisporites组合,其中的主要属种在国内外均为晚三叠世的重要分子,并可与我国华南地区和欧洲有关晚三叠世孢粉组合进行对比。因此,当前组合的地质时代属于晚三叠世,这填补了桂林地区中生代地质发展史中的一个空白。  相似文献

Among the smaller foraminifers from the Lower Permian of Western Tethys (Pamir, Northern Afghanistan, Central and Eastern Iran, Armenia, and Turkey), foraminiferal assemblages characteristic of the Asselian, Sakmarian, Yakhtashian, Bolorian, and Kubergandian stages are distinguished. The first stratigraphic scheme based on smaller foraminifers is elaborated for the Lower Permian (Cisuralian Series) of Western Tethys. Eight biostratigraphic units distinguished in the Lower Permian and one in the Kubergandian Stage are ranked as beds with characteristic foraminiferal assemblages. At particular stratigraphic levels, the beds are recognizable in different paleogeographic provinces of the Tethyan Realm, which enables correlation between deposits concurrently accumulated under dissimilar climatic and facies conditions to be carried. Some of the distinguished beds are recognizable beyond the Tethyan Realm, for instance in the Donetsk basin, Cis-Urals, Pechora coal basin, and Spitsbergen. Among foraminifers that have been studied, 264 species and subspecies, including 16 new taxa, are identified. The following species and subspecies are identified and described for the first time: Hemigordius permicus beitepicus subsp. nov., H. pamiricus sp. nov., Neohemigordius afganicus sp. nov., N. carnicus sp. nov., N. bangi sp. nov., N. zulumarticus sp. nov., N. kubergandinicus sp. nov., Geinitzina grandella sp. nov., G. dentiformis sp. nov., G. bella sp. nov., Pachyphloia paraovata minima sp. nov., P. aucta sp. nov., Frondicularia porrecta sp. nov., Globivalvulina gigantea sp. nov., G. compacta sp. nov., and G. explicata sp. nov.  相似文献

Abundant foraminifers were found from the Mississippian Onimaru Formation distributed in the Hikoroichi area of the central part of the South Kitakami Belt, Northeast Japan. They include Brunsia pulchra, Archaediscus sp., Paraarchaediscus? sp., Neoarchaediscus? sp., Palaeotextularia spp., Climacammina, spp., Tetrataxis spp., Haplophragmella sp., Lituotubella? sp., Forschiella sp., Cribrospira sp., Bradyina spp., Janischewskina sp., Endothyra spp., Planoendothyra aljutovica., Endothyranopsis compressa, E. crassa, Omphalotis samarica, Eo-staffella spp., Mediocris breviscula, and several others. The Onimaru foraminiferal fauna is similar to those re-ported from MFZ (Mamet Foraminiferal Zone) 15-16. This supports a late Visean (V3b-V3c) age of the formation, which has been proposed previously by rugose corals.  相似文献

新疆维吾尔自治区阿图什市木吉地区邻近帕米尔,是印度板块与欧亚板块碰撞挤压应力最集中的地区,地层变质和变形强烈,研究基础薄弱。木吉群由变质砂岩、板岩、千枚岩、石英岩、钙质石英岩、变粒岩、二云石英片岩、大理岩等组成,一直未发现任何化石。最近,笔者在木吉乡的喀拉足克沟和阿拉木陶沟的粉砂岩、钙质粉砂岩中发现了一些植物管胞片和孢粉化石:Gran-ulatisporites sp.,Cycloranisporites sp.,Verrucosisporites sp.,Pityosporites sp.,Punetatosporites sp.,Leiotriletes sp.,Apicu-latisporites sp.,Platysaccus sp.,Cycodopites sp.等。从地层接触关系和孢粉化石的整体面貌看,木吉地区含上述孢粉化石的木吉群的时代可能为泥盆纪—石炭纪。  相似文献

根据已有文献归纳出盐沼植物对水动力、悬沙运动、沉积、地貌影响研究已取得的进展,包括:①单位距离盐沼中波能的损失可为相邻光滩的数倍至数十倍;波浪传入互花米草盐沼20~30 m后,波能可全部损失;②盐沼植物可使潮流流速降低一个数量级;当植冠被淹没后,垂向流速剖面在植冠附近出现转折;③当植冠被淹没后,垂向上植冠层内的紊动强度趋于一致且明显低于植冠层以上;互花米草盐沼中的紊动强度可比相邻光滩低1~2个数量级;④盐沼植物通过2种机制影响悬沙的运动:其一是降低水体紊动,从而促进悬沙的沉降并遏制滩面沉积物再悬浮;其二是茎叶对悬沙的直接黏附。这两种机制可使盐沼中的悬沙浓度比相邻光滩低一半以上;⑤植物对细颗粒悬沙的促淤作用导致盐沼中的底床滩面沉积物细化;⑥盐沼中的垂向沉积速率可比光滩高7~8倍;盐沼中波痕和侵蚀坑等微地貌不易发育,滩面平整化;与光滩上频繁发生的冲淤交替相比,盐沼中通常只淤不冲,滩面稳定性较高;⑦植物对上述沉积动力过程的影响程度与植物的高度、密度、盖度等生态参数密切相关,因此,不同的植物种类对沉积动力过程的影响往往存在显著差异。在此基础上,展望了今后该领域研究进一步加强的几个方面。 [HT5H]关〓键〓词:[HT5K] [HT5H]中图分类号:〓〓〓文献标识码:A[HT5SS][HK]  相似文献

在粤西云开地区东冲组内发现以双壳类占绝对优势的中奥陶世动物群,包括双壳类:Praenucula cf.sharpei Babin and Gutierrez-Marco,P.sp.,Homilodonta regularis(Portlock),Similodonta similis(Ulrich),S.cf.cerys Cope,S.sp.,Trigonoconcha acuta Sanchez,Concavodonta sp.,Arcodonta sp.,Sthenodonta cf.eastii(Tata),S.sp.,Nuculites cf.cylindricus(Portlock),N.sp.,Phestia sp.,Cardiolaria? sp.,Inaequidens cf.davisi Pojeta and Gilbert-Tomlinson,I.sp.,Mytilarca? sp.,Cyrtodonta sp.,Modiolopsis spp.,Carminodonta sp.,Famatinodonta sp.等及若干未命名的新属,同层产出的还有三叶虫和腕足类等.双壳类化石个体小、丰度高、分异度高,以古栉齿类占绝对优势,该发现丰富了我国及世界中奥陶世双壳类动物群,为研究区中-上奥陶统的划分对比以及华南板块古地理重建增添了新的古生物学证据,特别是为研究双壳类的早期演化和奥陶纪早期双壳类辐射演化提供了关键信息.   相似文献
