A three-dimensional isopycnic-coordinate internal tidal model is employed to investigate the generation,propagation, vertical structure and energy conversion of M2 internal tides in the Luzon Strait(LS) with mooring observations. Simulated results, especially the tidal current amplitudes, agree well with observations,demonstrating the reasonability and accuracy of the model. Results indicate that M2 internal tides mainly propagate into three directions horizontally, i.e., eastward towards the western Pacific Ocean, westward towards the Dongsha Island and southwestward towards the South China Sea Basin. In the horizontal direction, tidal current amplitudes decrease as distance increases away from the LS; in the vertical direction, they show an obvious decreasing tendency with depth. Between the double ridges of the LS, a clockwise gyre of M2 baroclinic energy flux appears, which is caused by reflections of M2 internal tides at supercritical topographies, and resonance of M2 internal tides happens along 19.5° and 21.5°N due to the heights and separation distance of the double ridges. The total energy conversion in the LS is about 14.20 GW.  相似文献

In order to investigate the circulation pattern and the characteristics of tidal currents in the sea near the mouth of Suruga Bay, current meausrements were conducted at two stations at near-surface levels during the warm months of the year (late May to early October). The mean currents at the eastern and western stations are inversely correlated with each other: when inflow occurs at the eastern station outflow occurs at the western one andvice versa. The circulation pattern, therefore, can be determined from the mean current at either station,e.g., inflow or outflow at the eastern station corresponds to counterclockwise and clockwise circulation, respectively. The predominant tidal constituents of the measured currents are diurnal while those of the sea level along the bay are semidiurnal. The amplitudes of the diurnal constituents of the current show clear long-term variations besides the semimonthly variation corresponding to the phase of the moon.Variation in the path of the Kuroshio off the bay mouth seems to influence not only the circulation pattern but also the tidal currents in the sea near the bay mouth. When the Kuroshio axis is to the north of Zenisu, a shoal off the eastern side of the bay, the circulation pattern is counterclockwise and the amplitude of the tidal current is small. On the other hand, when the Kuroshio is to the south ofZenisu, the circulation pattern is weakly clockwise or stagnant and the amplitude of the tidal current is large.  相似文献

Rapid changes in the near-bottom water temperature are important environmental factors that can significantly affect the growth and development of species in the bottom culture. The object of this research is to investigate the mechanism causing these rapid changes within a bottom culture area near the Zhangzi Island. The hydrographic transects observations in the North Yellow Sea(NYS) suggest that our mooring station is very close to the tidal mixing front. The horizontal advection of the tidal front has induced the observed tidal change of bottom temperature at the mooring station. Analysis of the mooring near-bottom temperature and current measurements show that the angle between the tidal current horizontal advection and the swing of the tidal front is crucial in determining the variation trend of temperature. When the angle equals 90°, the horizontal tidal current advects along the isotherms so the temperature remains the same. When the angle is between 0° and 90°, the seawater moves from deep water to the warmer coastal zone and the temperature decreases. In contrast, the horizontal tidal advection moves the coastal warm water to the mooring station and the water temperature increases when the angle is between 90° and 180°. The amplitude of the temperature change is proportional to the magnitude of the horizontal temperature gradient and the tidal excursion in the direction of the temperature gradient. This study may facilitate the choice of culture area in order to have a good aquaculture production.  相似文献

The results of the first ground-based spectroscopic measurements in Russia of the total content (TC) of nitric acid in the atmosphere near St. Petersburg over the period April 2009–October 2011 are presented. These measurements show a substantial seasonal trend of the HNO3 TC with maximal values in the winter period and early in the spring and minimal values in the summer time. The seasonal trends and variations in the daily mean values of HNO3 TC near St. Petersburg in the winter and spring periods agree well with observations at the Kiruna station of the international NDACC network.  相似文献

The Reverse Tracing of Precursors (RTP) algorithm for the prediction of strong earthquakes has become known owing to the successful predictions of the Tokachi-oki earthquake near Hokkaido Island and the San Simeon earthquake of California in 2003, as well as to other well-documented predictions found on the Internet, some of which also proved to be successful. The RTP predictions with the use of the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) data for the zone from Honshu Island to the Middle Kurile Islands deserve special attention. None of the five predictions starting in the middle of 2003, including the last one formulated for the region where the catastrophic earthquake of March 11, 2011, with a magnitude of M = 9 occurred, was a false alarm. One distinctive feature of predictions for this region is the enormous size (about 1000 km) of alarm regions. At the same time, the relatively short alarm interval makes it possible to record a real number of earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.2 and higher during alarm periods, which is about five times larger than on average over the equivalent period, i.e., to reach a probability gain of about five.  相似文献

南黄海西侧的江苏海岸近岸区域,素以地形复杂、潮流强劲、悬沙输运剧烈著称,但是较长期的同步潮位和潮流观测数据仍然缺乏,尤其是在近岸(20 km)浅水(20 m)区域。2014年1月在大丰港附近开展了连续潮位和潮流观测,获得的数据揭示了一系列特征。此地潮汐潮流为正规半日潮,浅水分潮显著。平均潮差为3.05 m,最显著的两个分潮为M2和S2分潮,振幅分别为1.45 m和0.52 m。潮流最显著的半日分潮M2分潮和最显著的浅水分潮M4分潮在沿岸方向上振幅分别为0.84m/s和0.12m/s,在跨岸方向上振幅分别为0.24 m/s和0.01 m/s,沿岸方向占绝对优势。潮波的沿岸传播介于前进波和驻波之间,驻波的特征稍强。M2分潮潮流椭圆最大流(长轴)方向为南偏东7.4°。存在冬季沿岸向北的余流,垂向平均值的大小为2.2 cm/s。以上潮汐潮流特征为该区域海洋物质输运研究提供了基础资料。  相似文献

基于二阶湍流闭合模型计算涡动粘性系数的POM三维水动力模式,采用细网格,考虑6个岛屿、海底摩擦系数进行划片取值,模拟北部湾潮汐潮流.所得潮汐调和常数与81个实测站比较,绝对平均误差:K1分潮振幅为46cm,迟角为9°;O1分潮振幅为56cm,迟角为7°;M2分潮振幅为62cm,迟角为15°.由模拟结果分析出该海区潮汐、潮流、余水位和潮余流,以及水平速度垂直分布等特征.  相似文献

The results of investigating the preparation zone of the catastrophic earthquake of March 11, 2011, near the eastern coast of Honshu Island are presented. A retrospective analysis of the focal mechanisms of deep earthquakes in the western part of the Pacific Ocean made it possible to reveal their influence on the zone of the Tohoku earthquake source. The preparation of this earthquake is also investigated within an analysis of the seismotectonic deformation processes at the regional level, which includes an estimation of the temporal trends of some key parameters, as well as the detection of their variations and the spatial confinement of anomalies to the source zone.  相似文献

A 24 hour time series survey was carried out during a spring tide (tidal range ca.2 m) of May 1995 on a tidal estuary in the Seto Inland Sea, Japan, in the context of an integrated program planned to quantify the dynamics of biophilic elements (carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus) and the roles played by the macrobenthos on the processes. Three stations were set along a transect line of about 1.4 km, which linked the river to the rear to the innermost part of the subtidal zone. Every hour, at each station, measurements were made of surface water temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen concentration, and surface water was collected for the determination of nutrients [NH4 +−N, (NO3 +NO2 )−N, PO4 3−−P and Si (OH)4−Si]. During the ebb flow, riverine input of silicate and nitrate+nitrite significantly increased the concentrations of both the intertidal and the subtidal stations. Conversely, during the high tide, river nutrient concentrations were lowered by the mixing of fresh water with sea water. As a result, best (inverse) correlations were found at the river station for salinity against silicate (y=-2.9 Sal.+110.7,r 2=0.879) and nitrate+nitrite (y=-1.3 Sal.+48.4,r 2=0.796). In contrast, ammonium nitrogen concentrations were higher at intermediate salinities. Indeed, no significant correlation was found between salinity and ammonium. The effect of the macrobenthos, which is abundant on the intertidal flat, is discussed as a biological component that influences the processes of nutrient regeneration within the estuary. The effect of the tidal amplitude is an important one in determining the extent of the variations in nutrient concentrations at all three stations, which were stronger between the lower low tide and the higher high tide.  相似文献

Current measurements were conducted 10 m below the sea surface near the head of Suruga Bay intermittently from 1970 to 1978. The circulation pattern is usually counterclockwise; northward along the east coast (off Heda and at the mouth of Uchiura Inlet), westward along the north coast (off Fuji), and southwestward along the west coast (off Shimizu). The amplitudes of the four major tidal constituents of current variation, M2, S2, K1 and O1, are much larger than those expected from sea level variations along the coast. The amplitudes of the diurnal constituents of current variation are much larger than those of the semidiurnal constituents, while the amplitudes of the semidiurnal constituents of sea level variation are much larger than those of the diurnal constituents. The observed amplitude of the predominant diurnal constituents exhibit large seasonal changes and tend to increase with the development of the stratification of the upper part of the water in Suruga Bay. These facts strongly suggest that the observed current variations are mainly associated with internal tides in Suruga Bay.  相似文献

由于缺乏长期观测资料,前人对山东半岛邻近海域海水溶解氧的时间变化和空间分布特征的研究较少。本文基于威海刘公岛海洋牧场于2016年7月20日至2017年3月14日期间,利用生态环境实时在线观测系统获得的底层海水的温度、盐度、水深、溶解氧数据,分析了该牧场海水溶解氧浓度的时间变化特征及其影响因素,并探讨了低氧灾害发生的可能性。结果表明在观测期间,该牧场海水溶解氧浓度以季节变化为主,冬季最大、夏季最小,其中2月份平均值最高,约为10.86mg/L,8月份平均值最低,约为5.91mg/L。同时海水溶解氧浓度也存在显著的小时变化和日变化,且变化幅度于8月份最大、3月份最小。影响海水溶解氧浓度变化的主要因素是海水温度,溶解氧浓度随着温度的季节性变化而变化。夏季,水体分层会使溶解氧浓度发生大幅度的降低,大风过程对于溶解氧浓度也有一定的影响,通过打破夏季的季节性温跃层使水体发生垂向混合从而为海底提供氧气,但大风过程之后的几天会出现溶解氧浓度降低的现象。本次研究发现刘公岛海洋牧场在观测期间不存在低氧现象。  相似文献

为了更好地利用卫星测高数据分析黄海和东海的潮汐特性 ,对 1 993— 1 999年期间的TOPEX/Poseidon测高数据进行了质量控制和共线平差处理。在此基础上 ,在黄海、东海选取了 1 738个测高点 ,用最小二乘拟合法计算出 1 2个分潮的调和常数。计算得出的M2 和m1分潮的调和常数 ,在交叉点评估的内符精度振幅分别为 2 4cm和 0 8cm ,迟角分别为 2 3°和2 5°。测高点与附近验潮站的这两个分潮结果相比 ,振幅的均方根误差小于 4cm ,而迟角相差较大。这可能与验潮站的地理环境因素有关。用卫星测高数据算得的调和常数绘制的主要分潮特性图与现有常规观测得到的相应图进行了比较 ,在外海深水区两者符合较好 ;近岸由于卫星测高误差较大 ,所以两者符合差。  相似文献

Sea-level observations made during December, 1979, at six stations in Great South Bay (which is a coastal lagoon on the south shore of Long Island, New York) reveal that there were significant subtidal fluctuations in addition to the tidal oscillations. Harmonic analysis of the tidal oscillations of sea level indicates that M2 is the dominant tidal constituent. The M2 amplitude, however, suffered a more than 50% reduction in the interior of the Bay due largely to the narrow inlet. The subtidal sea level fluctuations within the Bay were forced primarily by the low-frequency fluctuations of the adjacent shelf water. The active subtidal exchange induced by this Bay-shelf coupling appeared to have suffered only minor attenuation within the Bay. As a consequence, the variance associated with subtidal sea level fluctuations was greater than that associated with the tidal oscillations over most of Great South Bay.  相似文献

The ratio of dissolved cadmium (Cd) to phosphate (PO4) in the subtropical coastal area of Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, Japan, was investigated. Twenty vertical seawater samplings were carried out once a month from May 2008 to January 2010. In order to examine how the Cd/PO4 ratio in seawater varies with the oceanographic conditions (i.e., the water temperature–salinity characteristics), the water masses at the study sites were classified into two types: group 1 with a water temperature of >25°C and a salinity range of 34.0–34.4, and group 2 with a water temperature of <25°C and a salinity of >34.4. A different phytoplankton assemblage was observed in each water mass defined. Different Cd/PO4 ratios were obtained for the two water mass types, due to the differences between the types in terms of the environmental conditions such as the water temperature–salinity (TS) characteristics and phytoplankton assemblages, as well as possible variations in the concentrations of dissolved iron, zinc, manganese, and CO2 in seawater in each water mass.  相似文献

The “weak-interaction” approximation is used to investigate the role of wind waves in tidal dynamics. The resulting expression for the drag coefficient in the wave-affected tidal flow is incorporated into the QUODDY-4 three-dimensional finite-element hydrothermodynamic model, and the thus modified model is used to calculate the K 1 diurnal tide in the Pechora Basin-White Sea subsystem. It is shown that, depending on a combination of local and nonlocal factors, wind waves can cause opposite variations in the amplitudes and phases of tidal oscillations of the level. Local factors control variations in the tidal regime nearly in the entire water area of the subsystem under consideration, apart from the eastern part of the Pechora Basin, the outlet from the White Sea Throat, and Dvina Bay. In the aforementioned areas, the tidal regime changes are due either to the displacement of the nearest amphidromy or to other nonlocal factors resulting from the reorganization of the fields of tidal characteristics. It is also shown that the variations in tidal characteristics induced by wind waves vary within a fairly wide range and that allowance for the interaction of wind waves and tides improves the agreement between calculated and observed values of the amplitudes and phases of tidal oscillations of the level.  相似文献

于2011年1月25 日-1月26日小潮期间对磨刀门进行26 h定点连续观测,研究了咸潮对环境要素变化的影响.结果表明:调查期间溶解氧没有明显的潮周期变化;NO2-、NH4+浓度随着观测时间的延长不断降低,无明显潮周期变化;底层SiO4-,NO3-浓度具有明显的潮周期变化,且与底层盐度呈显著的正相关关系;溶解无机磷(DIP)、重金属(Zn、Cd)的潮周期变化不明显.当河床剪切力大于0.226N/m2时,发生明显的沉积物再悬浮作用,并对营养盐与重金属的变化产生显著的影响.N,P,si比值分析结果表明,磨刀门水域浮游植物生长受到潜在性的P限制,而咸潮上溯的加强将可能使这种营养盐结构发生变化.磨刀门受N、P的污染仍不容乐观,咸潮不利于污染物质的向海排出,在潮流作用下有发生严重的二次污染的风险.  相似文献

The tectonic and seismological aspects of the Great Japan Earthquake, which occurred on March 11, 2011 (M w = 9.0), at the Pacific margin of the northeastern part of Honshu Island, are discussed. The structure and seismotectonic data, seismicity, and the reccurence rate of the great (M ≥ 7.6) earthquakes throughout history and in modern times are represented. It is shown that the reccurence rate of the great events is about 40 years, and that of megaearthquakes is 1000 years or more. A seismic gap of about 800 km in length is found in the region under study, located to the south of latitude 39° N and full of aftershocks to the megaearthquake of March 11, 2011. This event is probably connected with the deep thrust along the Benioff zone and its structural front (Oyashio nappe at the middle Pacific continental slope). The aftershock sequences of this megaearthquake and the Sumatra-Andaman (2004) megaearthquake are compared. It is found that several of their key characteristics (the number of aftershocks, the magnitude of the strongest aftershock, and the time of its occurrence) for 25 days are comparable for both cases with a significant difference in the energies of aftershock processes. A probable scenario for the origination of a repeated shock with M ∼ 8.0 in the Japan Trench is discussed.  相似文献

Direct current measurements at four locations in Tasman Bay and numerical model results are used to analyse the mean flow in Tasman Bay. The mean circulation conforms to that previously found from drift card experiments: a clockwise circulation in Golden Bay, and an anti‐clockwise flow in Tasman Bay, with a return south‐westerly flow on the coast near Nelson. Typical mean speeds are 0.02–0.05 m.s‐1. The circular flow appears asymmetrical in both bays, with a stronger outflow along Farewell Spit in Golden Bay and near D'Urville Island in Tasman Bay.

An analytical tidal solution is used to exhibit the influence of Cook Strait in producing smaller tidal amplitudes in eastern Tasman Bay. Tidal speeds of 0.15–0.30 nus‐1 are typical, with tidal ellipses having degenerated into north‐east, south‐west lines.  相似文献

Numerical simulation on diurnal and semidiurnal tidal currents is made for the eastern and southern parts of the East China Sea bounded by the Tsushima, islands of Kyushu and Ryukyu in the east and extending to the central Taiwan Strait in the south. The numerical computation shows that the rapid variation in the seabed topography near the Okinawa Trough may cause computational instability and this instability can be removed by setting a suitable lateral eddy viscosity. The computed results are in good agreement with the observations and indicate that the tidal currents in the greater part of the area studied rotate clockwise. An M2 current-amphidromic point exists in the southern part of the Korea Strait and another one appears in the west of Okinawa with less certainty. K1 and M2 cotidal charts based on the observed and computed tidal currents in the sea and the observed tides on the coast are also given.  相似文献

对粤西海域水东、湛江、硇州岛、南渡和海安验潮站各1年水位资料进行了调和分析及统计。结果表明:粤西海域北部湛江、水东、硇洲岛、南渡4站主要分潮为M_2、K_1、S_2和O_1,是不规则半日潮;而南部海安站主要分潮为O_1和K_1分潮,是不规则日潮。粤西沿岸各站浅水分潮和平均水位从北到南有减小趋势。在日潮不等方面,粤西沿岸验潮站都存在明显的日潮高、日潮时不等现象。日潮时不等总体上从北到南有降低的趋势,北部湛江、水东和硇州岛涨潮时间比落潮长1~1.5 h,南部南渡和海安两站涨、落潮时相差不大。另外,调和分析和经验公式不再适用于南渡站,南渡河入海口处堤闸工程是主要原因。这为粤西海域环境资源开发、航运活动等提供环境支持和保障。  相似文献
