两类ENSO事件非对称性特征分析   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2       下载免费PDF全文
利用1961—2010年多种海、气观测资料,分析了东部型(EP)和中部型(CP)ENSO事件海温异常的非对称性及可能原因,并讨论了两类ENSO事件的非对称性对大气环流的可能影响。结果表明,海温异常非对称性包括空间分布非对称、强度非对称以及持续性非对称。从动力学角度来看,虽然不同事件发展衰减阶段主导的动力作用不尽相同,但就两类事件强度非对称性而言,海洋垂直对流项起关键性的作用。此外,研究发现,无论是通过海温强迫直接影响的赤道地区或是通过遥相关影响的赤道外地区,大气非对称响应都表现出与海温异常非对称较强的一致性,其中东部型ENSO的非对称性分布与事件暖位相分布相似,而中部型ENSO的非对称性分布与事件冷位相分布相似,且东部型ENSO非对称性差异大于中部型ENSO。  相似文献

利用20世纪大气再分析资料和欧洲中心海温资料研究了春季西北太平洋风暴轴的年(代)际变化特征以及在不同年代际背景下风暴轴与太平洋海温关系的转变。结果表明,春季西北太平洋风暴轴主要存在两种空间变化模态,即反映其强度变化的第1模态和反映其南北位置变化的第2模态。年代际及以上时间尺度上,风暴轴强度、位置与太平洋海温的关系主要表现为大气对海洋的强迫作用。在不同年代际背景下,风暴轴与太平洋海温的关系则存在明显的年代际转变:1977年以后,风暴轴强度与太平洋海温的关系主要表现为大气对海洋的强迫作用,而在1977年之前则主要表现为海洋对大气的强迫作用,特别是同期冬季日本以东黑潮和黑潮延伸区海温异常的强迫作用;风暴轴南北位置与太平洋海温异常的关系,在1977年以后表现为大气对海洋的强迫作用,主要表现为对北太平洋中部海温的影响,但在1977年以前表现为海洋和大气的共同作用,风暴轴南北位置的变化还与同期的赤道中东太平洋海温异常有关,表明ENSO可能对风暴轴的位置变化存在影响。  相似文献

基于2010 年11 月对长江口外东海中北部海域的综合调查, 系统研究了该海域的无机碳体系参数的分布特征、海?气界面二氧化碳通量及其影响因素。研究结果表明, 该海域秋季溶解无机碳(DIC)高值区主要出现在调查海域东北部及长江口附近海域, 而调查海域南部DIC 含量较少且变化平缓, 其主要是受台湾东部流向东北方向的黑潮支流及长江冲淡水的影响; 表层海水CO2分压(pCO2)值变化范围为40.8~63.5 Pa, 呈现沿黑潮支流流入方向由东南向西北逐渐增高的趋势。秋季表层海水pCO2与温度(T)、盐度(S)有较好的负相关性, 说明海水温度升高和盐度增加, pCO2降低, 反之亦然。另外, 通过估算得出, 秋季CO2海-气交换通量为2.69~33.66 mmol/(m2·d), 平均值为(14.35 ± 7.06 )mmol/(m2·d),其在长江口邻近海域相对较大, 而在调查海域南部相对较小; 2010 年秋季水体向大气释放CO2的量(以碳计)为(2.35 ± 1.16)×104 t/d, 是大气CO2较强的源, 说明东海中北部海域秋季总体上是CO2的源。  相似文献

清华大学地球系统科学研究中心在一个标准耦合模式(SC)的基础上建立了交互集合耦合模式系统(IE),该系统可以实现多个不同大气模式或者同一大气模式采取不同初值组成的多个分量集合之后与海、陆、冰模式进行耦合.本文利用同一大气模式七个不同初值分量与其它模式分量开展在线集合耦合试验,利用积分稳定之后100年的试验结果,分析了IE在减小海-气界面大气噪音的情况下,对北太平洋海表面温度(SST)变率和ENSO的模拟,并与SC模拟结果进行了对比.分析表明,IE减小了北太平洋中高纬度SST方差的85%以上,表明该区域SST变率主要受大气的影响,且主要是通过改变海表湍流热通量实现的.黑潮延伸体区和北太平洋中部副热带涡旋区域平均SST 8年左右的低频周期主要受来自大气内部动力过程的驱动.在集合耦合模拟中,无论是副热带涡旋区SST与ENSO的联系,还是ENSO与北太平洋中高纬度SST的联系都能模拟出来,而标准模式未能模拟出这些现象,意味着大气噪音过强将掩盖ENSO与太平洋热带外SST的联系.IE对与ENSO关联的“太平洋-北美”(PNA)遥相关型的合理模拟,并通过湍流热通量对海表温度的影响,是其能够更好模拟ENSO与北太平洋中高纬度SST关系的重要原因.本文通过分析验证了所建立的交互集合耦合模式系统的合理性,揭示了该系统在海-气相互作用研究领域方面具有一定应用前景.  相似文献

The paper overviews recent and past studies of preconditioning, generation and spreading of North Adriatic Dense Water (NAdDW), by analysing both transient episodes and climatological data. The importance of wind stress, heat and water fluxes, and particularly river discharges during the preconditioning and generative period is emphasized, as well as the advection of saline levantine intermediate water from the southeast. After the generation, NAdDW affects deep and bottom layers of the middle and south Adriatic Sea, flowing as a dense current and mixing with the adjacent waters; it can be traced even in the Otranto Strait, contributing to the formation of deep water in the Eastern Mediterranean. Objective shortcomings and the projections in NAdDW investigations are also discussed, due to their high importance in the circulation of the Adriatic Sea, which may relate other similar basins around the world.  相似文献

Data from a research tower in Lake Ontario are used to study the validity of Monin--Obukhov scaling in the marine atmospheric boundary layer under various wave conditions. It is found that over pure wind seas, the velocity spectra and cospectra follow established universal scaling laws. However, in the presence of swells outrunning weak winds, velocity spectra and cospectra no longer satisfy universal spectral shapes. Here, Monin–Obukhov similarity theory, and the classical logarithmic boundary layers, are no longer valid. It is further shown that, in the presence of such swells, the momentum flux can be significantly modified in comparison to pure wind sea values. The implications of these findings for bulk flux estimations and on the inertial dissipation method for calculating fluxes are discussed.  相似文献

The effect of sea-ice on various aspects of the Southern Hemisphere (SH) extratropical climate is examined. Two simulations using the LMD GCM are performed: a control run with the observed sea-ice distribution and an anomaly run in which all SH sea-ice is replaced by open ocean. When sea-ice is removed, the mean sea level pressure displays anomalies predominantly negatives near the Antarctic coast. In general, the meridional temperature gradient is reduced over most of the Southern Ocean, the polar jet is weaker and the sea level pressure rises equatorward of the control ice edge. The high frequency filtered standard deviation of both the sea level pressure and the 300-hPa geopotential height decreases over the southern Pacific and southwestern Atlantic oceans, especially to the north of the ice edge (as prescribed in the control). In contrast, over the Indian Ocean the perturbed simulation exhibits less variability equatorward of about 50°S and increased variability to the south. The zonal averages of the zonal and eddy potential and kinetic energies were evaluated. The effect of removing sea-ice is to diminish the available potential energy of the mean zonal flow, the available potential energy of the perturbations, the kinetic energy of the growing disturbances and the kinetic energy of the mean zonal flow over most of the Southern Ocean. The zonally averaged intensity of the subpolar trough and the rate of the baroclinic energy conversions are also weaker.  相似文献

Equipment has been developed for automatic measurement of the radon dissolved in sea water, with the aim of determining gas exchange rates at sea on the basis of the radon-222 deficiency in the mixed layer with respect to its parent nuclide radium-226. The equipment will be employed to obtain, over an extended period at fixed position, repeated measurements of the vertically integrated radon deficiency. The repetition period will be 2 hours, and sampling will be by a winch-operated submersible pumping system which will continuously scan the radon-deficient layer. The repeated measurements will allow to derive gas exchange rates even under transient meteorological conditions. As opposed to this, radon work carried out to date relied on isolated deficiency measurements and stationary conditions were commonly assumed (the deficiency relaxation time is about 5 days), which, under transient conditions, may lead to considerable errors. Equipment tests have been made at sea and the first integrated-deficiency measurements were obtained on the RSSChallenger in July 1977. Field programs are in preparation for JASIn (Joint Air-Sea Interaction, July–September 1978) and FGGE (First GARP Global Experiment, January–July 1979). The ultimate goal is a parameterization of the gas exchange rate in terms of external parameters, primarily wind speed.  相似文献

The mixed layer of the ocean and the processes therein affect the ocean’s biological production, the exchanges with the atmosphere, and the water modification processes important in a climate change perspective. To provide a better understanding of the variability in this system, this paper presents time series of the mixed layer properties depth, temperature, salinity, and oxygen from Ocean Weather Station M (OWSM; 66° N,2° E) as well as spatial climatologies for the Norwegian Sea. The importance of underlying mechanisms such as atmospheric fluxes, advective signals, and dynamic control of isopycnal surfaces are addressed. In the region around OWSM in the Norwegian Atlantic Current (NwAC) the mixed layer depth varies between ∼20 m in summer and ∼300 m in winter. The depth of the wintertime mixing here is ultimately restrained by the interface between the Atlantic Water (AW) and the underlying water mass, and in general, the whole column of AW is found to be mixed during winter. In the Lofoten Basin the mean wintertime mixed layer reaches a depth of ∼600 m, while the AW fills the basin to a mean depth of ∼800 m. The temperature of the mixed layer at OWSM in general varies between 12 °C in summer and 6 °C in winter. Atmospheric heating controls the summer temperatures while the winter temperatures are governed by the advection of heat in the NwAC. Episodic lateral Ekman transports of coastal water facilitated by the shallow summer mixed layer is found important for the seasonal salinity cycle and freshening of the northward flowing AW. Atmospheric freshwater fluxes have no significant influence on the salinity of the AW in the area. Oxygen shows a clear annual cycle with highest values in May-June and lowest in August-September. Interannual variability of mixed layer oxygen does not appear to be linked to variations in any of the physical properties of the mixed layer.  相似文献

东亚夏季风对于我国东部气候具有重要影响,呈现出多种时间尺度的变化特征。在理解东亚夏季风过去和当前的变化机理、预测和预估其未来变化等方面,气候系统模式发挥着不可替代的作用。但是当前的气候模式在东亚夏季风的模拟上尚存在诸多不足,这使得其模拟结果存在不确定性,既制约了我们对过去和当前季风变化机理的准确理解,又降低了未来预测预估结果的可信度。关于造成季风模拟偏差的原因,既涉及模式本身的性能问题,又与模拟系统的构建、强迫资料的误差、乃至我们当前对季风变化规律自身的认知水平有关。本文以时间尺度为序,从气候态、日变化、年际变率、年代际变率、长期气候变化和未来预估等季风学界关注的热点问题角度,本着总结成绩、归纳问题、寻找机遇、面对挑战的目的,从七个方面系统总结了当前气候模式的水平,归纳了其主要偏差特征,讨论了影响模式性能的可能因素。内容涉及模式分辨率和地形效应、对流和云辐射效应的作用、与季风相关的热带海气相互作用关键过程、内部变率(太平洋年代际振荡)、自然变率(太阳辐照度变化和火山气溶胶强迫)和人为辐射强迫(人为温室气体和气溶胶排放)对季风变化的不同影响、热力和动力过程及气候敏感度对季风环流(副高)和降水预估不确定性的影响等。最后从优化参数、实现场地观测和过程模拟的协同、发展高分辨和对流解析模式等角度,讨论了提升东亚夏季风模拟能力的技术途径。  相似文献
