Whilst the potential impact on beach users from microorganisms in water has received considerable attention, there has been relatively little investigation into microbial contaminants in sand. Thirty three beaches across Portugal were analyzed during a five year period (2006-2010) to determine the presence of yeasts, pathogenic fungi, dermatophytes, total coliforms, Escherichia coli and intestinal enterococci in sand. Our results showed that 60.4% of the samples were positive for fungi and that 25.2% were positive for the bacterial parameters. The most frequent fungal species found were Candida sp. and Aspergillus sp., whereas intestinal enterococci were the most frequently isolated bacteria. Positive associations were detected among analyzed parameters and country-regions but none among those parameters and sampling period.Regarding threshold values, we propose 15 cfu/g for yeasts, 17 cfu/g for potential pathogenic fungi, 8 cfu/g for dermatophytes. Eighty four cfu/g for coliforms, 250 cfu/g for E. coli, and 100 cfu/g for intestinal enterococci. 相似文献

The new mining act that becarne effective in Hungary in 1993 instituted the payment of royalties for the minerals produced
and sold annually. To arrive at the amount of mineral production, the Hungarian Geological Survey (HGS) conducts the National
Inventory, which is used by the Mining Bureau of Hungary (MBH) to verify the mining royalty payment obligations. This paper
explains the major legal requirements for the mining royalties and how the values of the minerals are calculated. It also
describes the first experience with the declaration and payment of the mining royalties and provides the declared and paid
1995 royalties.
The Mining Bureau of Hungary reports on the introduction of the mining royalty system that became effective with the Mining
Act in 1993. This article is sponsored by the U.S. Hungarian Science and Technology Joint Fund under Project Joint Fund Number

It is desirable to unify the various unconnected geodetic systems of the world into a common earth-centered world datum. This
can be achieved by gravimetric means.
The gravimetric deflection components have been determined at a certain number of stations in different areas. Utilizing the
differences between the gravimetric and astro-geodetic deflection components, the reduction of the major geodetic datums into
a common world geodetic system has been accomplished.

Stakeholders’ perception in identification of river bank erosion hazard: a case study 总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0
Bela Das 《Natural Hazards》2011,58(3):905-928
Hazards due to riverbank erosion, despite being considered usually as a natural phenomenon, have become a critical problem
in recent times as introduction of new technology and one-sided engineering-based solution approach to combat natural hazards
without taking into account of opinions of all categories of stakeholders, particularly of the hazard victims and policy makers,
has aggravated the problem in many cases. The riverbank erosion hazard aggravated as a direct consequence of construction
of Farakka Barrage on its upstream and downstream on the river Ganga has seriously affected the lifestyles of the people in
the districts of Malda and Murshidabad in the state of West Bengal in India. In this paper, an attempt has been made to study
the perceptions of different groups of stakeholders, particularly hazard victims and authority responsible for monetary investment,
about causes of riverbank erosion and possible preventive and remedial measures required to solve such a complex and multi-dimensional
problem. A questionnaire-based household survey has been conducted on a number of important issues of the problem among the
directly affected hazard victims at a highly erosion-prone area in the Malda district. Different perceptions and their impacts
on selection and implementation of anti-erosion measures are critically studied. Analysis of data as obtained from the representative
sample of erosion victims as well as the secondary sources of data clearly indicates that the hazard victims are to face bad
effects because of existence of perception gap and that a holistic approach considering the perception of erosion victims
needs to be undertaken for a permanent solution of the problem. 相似文献

The authors describe a series of programs designed for the automated production of thematic relief maps. More specifically, a digital terrain model of a test site in northeastern Hungary provided raw data used in interactive processing and plotting of maps on relief (energy), slope angle, slope exposure or orientation, and tectonic structure lines. Applications in soil conservation, agroclimatology, and forestry are described briefly. Paper presented at the Euro-Carto III Seminar sponsored by the International Cartographic Association at Graz, Austria, October 23-25, 1984 and submitted to the Editor-in-Chief for publication. 相似文献

Three different types of deflection of the vertical components wre computed at a number of selected astronomical stations
in the south central United States.
Astro-geodetic deflections were obtained from the differences between the astronomical and geodetic coordinates of each station.
Gravimetric deflections were computed from isostatic anomalies. The isostatic isoanomaly charts used in this computation were
constructed from data obtained by correcting point values taken from existing free-air isoanomaly charts for the effects of
the Bouguer reduction and the topographic-isostatic reduction. It is felt that this procedure substantially reduces the labor
involved in making isostatic reductions without sacrificing accuracy appreciably.
Topographic-isostatic deflections were computed by Hayford's Method as modified by Orlin.
The differences between the three types of deflection components are compared and conclusions made concerning their accuracy
and utility.
