在胡子鲶基础料中分别添加0、500、1000、1500、2000mg/kg的维生素C(VC),分别在饲喂不同实验料后的第12、24、36和52天,测定各组的生长指标、血清的溶血活力和杀菌活力;并在饲喂后的第40天,用鲁氏不动杆菌进行攻毒实验,观察胡子鲶死亡情况。结果表明,添加VC对胡子鲶体重、特定生长率和体长增长率有提高作用,但无规律性;在添加后的第12、24、36天对血清溶血活力有明显的提高作用;对血清杀菌活力没有增强作用。攻毒结果表明,VC能明显提高胡子鲶对鲁氏不动杆菌的抵抗力。  相似文献

【目的】探讨高蛋白酵母培养物替代鱼粉对凡纳滨对虾(Litopenaeusvannamei)生长性能、血清生化指标、非特异性免疫力和抗病力的影响。【方法】在基础饲料中分别添加质量分数0、2.5%、5.0%和7.5%酵母培养物(记为Y0、Y2.5、Y5.0和Y7.5组),分别替代质量分数0、10%、20%和30%的鱼粉,配制4种等氮等脂饲料,饲喂凡纳滨对虾(初始体质量0.70±0.03 g)56 d后,测定对虾生长性能、血清生化及免疫酶指标;用哈维氏弧菌(Vibrioharveyi)攻毒,测定对虾累计死亡率。【结果】Y2.5和Y5.0组凡纳滨对虾增重率和特定生长率与Y0组的差异无统计学意义(P 0.05),Y5.0组凡纳滨对虾摄食率显著高于Y0和Y2.5组(P 0.05);Y5.0组凡纳滨对虾血清甘油三酯含量显著低于Y0组(P0.05),Y7.5组凡纳滨对虾血清谷丙转氨酶含量显著高于Y0、Y2.5组(P 0.05),血清总胆固醇显著低于Y0、Y2.5组(P 0.05);酵母培养物替代饲料中20%和30%的鱼粉可显著提高对虾攻毒前肝胰腺超氧化物歧化酶、过氧化物酶活性(P 0.05),Y7.5组对虾肝胰腺丙二醛含量在哈维氏弧菌(Vibrio harveyi)攻毒后显著低于Y0组(P 0.05);攻毒7 d后,Y7.5组凡纳滨对虾累积死亡率显著低于Y0组(P0.05)。【结论】酵母培养物替代鱼粉比例小于20%时,不会显著影响凡纳滨对虾生长性能;替代比例为30%时,生长受抑制。当替代量比例为30%时可显著提高凡纳滨对虾非特异性免疫力和抗病力。  相似文献

【目的】研究不同盐度下对攻毒灿烂弧菌(Vibrio splendidus)前后的仿刺参免疫指标的影响。【方法】将平均体质量(6.16±1.86)g的仿刺参150头随机分为5组,分别置于盐度25、27、29、31、33的海水中暂养,注射200μL 3.98×10~8 CFU/m L致病菌V. splendidus,在0、6、12、24、48 h采集体腔液,测定相关免疫指标。【结果】攻毒前,各盐度下仿刺参超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、酸性磷酸酶(ACP)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)、呼吸暴发力(RB)差异不显著(P 0.05)。仿刺参吞噬活力在盐度25、27、29、31条件下,随盐度的升高吞噬活力显著升高(P 0.05),盐度33条件下,仿刺参吞噬活力随盐度的升高而降低;仿刺参酚氧化物(PO)活力在盐度25、27、29条件下,随盐度的升高PO活力显著升高(P 0.05),盐度31、33条件下,仿刺参PO活力随盐度的升高而降低。攻毒后,仿刺参SOD活力变化明显,盐度25、27、33条件下,仿刺参SOD活力在48 h显著降低(P 0.05),盐度29、31条件下,攻毒后仿刺参SOD活力显著降低时间提前;仿刺参ACP活力变化明显,盐度25、27条件下,攻毒后仿刺参ACP活力在12 h显著升高(P 0.05),盐度29、31、33条件下,攻毒后仿刺参ACP活力在6 h显著升高(P 0.05);CAT活力无变化规律;盐度25、27条件下,攻毒后仿刺参吞噬活力在6 h显著升高(P 0.05),盐度29、31条件下,攻毒6、12、24、48 h后与0 h相比仿刺参吞噬活力无显著性差异(P 0.05);盐度对仿刺参RB有显著性影响(P 0.05),但无变化规律;攻毒后,不同盐度下的仿刺参PO活力在不同时间点较0 h均有升高,但没有规律性。【结论】盐度对仿刺参的吞噬活力、PO的影响,可以为选择适宜盐度水域养殖仿刺参提供依据;仿刺参在攻毒灿烂弧菌后SOD、ACP具有较高的敏感性。  相似文献

以菠萝 (AnanascomosusMerr)为原料 ,应用改良的方法对菠萝天然酶活力进行测定 ,对菠萝酶活力变化进行了初步探讨。结果表明 :测定未成熟、成熟菠萝酶活力分别为 10 6 .10和 6 5 .85u/mL ;菠萝肉、皮、整果汁酶活力分别为 86 .98、5 0 .72、5 5 .2 1u/mL ;室温贮藏 ,酶活力取样时为 5 4.97u/mL ,第 4天达最高值 72 .78u/mL ,第 8天降至 4 3.6 6u/mL ;4℃贮藏 ,酶活力取样时为 5 4.97u/mL ,第 2天达最高值71.6 8u/mL ,第 4天降至 5 0 .12u/mL ,即不同温度下贮藏不同时间酶活力变化是先升高后降低  相似文献

【目的】研究大豆酶解蛋白对幼虾生长性能、血清生化指标、非特异性免疫力和抗病力的影响。【方法】凡纳滨对虾(Litopenaeus vannamei)基础饲料添加质量分数0(对照)、1.0%、1.5%、2.0%、2.5%、3.0%、3.5%和4.0%大豆酶解蛋白,配制8种等氮等脂饲料,饲喂凡纳滨对虾幼虾56 d。【结果】1.5%组的增重率和特定生长率最高,显著高于2.0%—4.0%添加组(P0.05);1.0%和1.5%组全虾粗蛋白质含量高于对照组(P0.05),对照、1.0%和1.5%组蛋白质沉积率高于其他各组(P0.05);饲料中添加1.5%~4.0%大豆酶解蛋白可显著提高肌肉磷含量(P0.05),3.0%组最大;1.0%、1.5%和2.0%组血清胆固醇含量低于对照组(P0.05);饲料中添加1.5%~4.0%大豆酶解蛋白可显著提高血清中溶菌酶活性(P0.05),添加1.0%~3.0%大豆酶解蛋白可显著提高血清中酚氧化物酶活性(P0.05),2.5%和3.0%组血清中超氧化物歧化酶活性与1.0%和1.5%组血清中酸性磷酸酶活性高于对照组(P0.05),添加大豆酶解蛋白可显著提高血清中碱性磷酸酶活性(P0.05),2.5%组最大;哈维弧菌(Vibrio harveyi)攻毒7 d后,1.0%组累积死亡率最低。饲料中添加大豆酶解蛋白未提高凡纳滨对虾的生长性能,添加剂量高于3.5%可导致生长性能下降,添加质量分数1.0%大豆酶解蛋白可明显提高凡纳滨对虾的抗病力。【结论】饲料中添加大豆酶解蛋白不能提高凡纳滨对虾的生长性能,高于3.5%添加组的生长性能下降;添加质量分数1.0%大豆酶解蛋白可明显提高凡纳滨对虾的抗病力。  相似文献

用添加质量分数为0.00%(对照组)、0.02%、0.05%、0.20%、0.50%褐藻酸寡糖(alginate oligosaccharides,AOS)的基础饲料饲养初始体质量为(17.61±0.16)g的大菱鲆(Scophthalmus maximus)幼鱼10周,研究AOS不同添加量对大菱鲆幼鱼生长、血液学指标、非特异性免疫的影响。结果表明:与对照组相比,在4个不同添加量组中,增重率、特定生长率差异无统计学意义(P0.05);各组血液中白细胞含量均提高,差异有统计学意义(P0.05),血红蛋白、红细胞压积及红细胞数差异无统计学意义(P0.05);血清中谷丙转氨酶、谷草转氨酶、总胆固醇、甘油三酯、高密度脂蛋白含量降低,但差异无统计学意义(P0.05);0.02%、0.05%、0.20%组的血清中酸性磷酸酶活力高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P0.05),但超氧化物歧化酶、溶菌酶活力与对照组差异无统计学意义(P0.05),其中0.05%、0.20%组碱性磷酸酶明显高于对照组(P0.05);添加AOS组肝脏中的酸性磷酸酶活力以及超氧物歧化酶SOD活力与对照组相比差异无统计学意义(P0.05);攻毒试验发现,大菱鲆幼鱼对腹水病的疾病抵抗力随添加量的增加而升高。在本实验条件下,饲料中添加AOS对大菱鲆幼鱼生长性能和血液学指标并无显著影响,但可提高其非特异性免疫功能。建议添加量为质量分数0.05%。  相似文献

溶藻弧菌疫苗对凡纳滨对虾免疫功能的影响   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
应用溶藻弧菌疫苗饲喂凡纳滨对虾,测定了弧菌疫苗对凡纳滨对虾免疫指标的影响以及 疫苗的免疫保护作用。结果发现,投喂弧菌疫苗后,溶菌活力在12~20d内迅速增强,在20d时 活力达到最高,VF1组高于VF2和VF3组,但VF2和VF3之间差异不显著;凝集效价在投喂后的 第8天开始升高,在14d时达到最高,实验组的凝集活力均高于对照组,但实验组之间无明显的差 异;而超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活力和溶血活力变化不明显。以每克饲料含疫苗细胞1.0×109、 1.0×108和1.0×107个的浓度投喂,对凡纳滨对虾的免疫保护率分别为66.7%、46.7%和13.3%。 可见弧菌疫苗对凡纳滨对虾的免疫保护率随疫苗浓度的增大而升高。  相似文献

【目的】研究含非蛋白氮(L)、不含非蛋白氮(N)的2种酵母培养物对珍珠龙胆石斑鱼(Epinephelus fuscoguttatus♀×Epinepheluslanceolatu♂)生长性能、肠道形态、免疫功能和抗病能力的影响。【方法】在基础饲料中分别添加质量分数0%(对照C0组),2%、4%酵母培养物L(L1、L2组)以及2%、4%的酵母培养物N(N1、N2组),配制成5组等氮等脂饲料,饲喂珍珠龙胆石斑鱼56 d,测定石斑鱼生长性能、体成分、免疫力指标;观察肠道形态结构;用哈维氏弧菌对实验鱼进行攻毒,研究实验鱼抗病力。【结果】养殖实验结束后,N1和N2组珍珠龙胆石斑鱼存活率(SR)、增重率(WGR)、特定生长率(SGR)显著高于对照组(P 0.05),而饲料系数(FCR)显著低于对照组(P 0.05)。N2组的干物质、粗蛋白和灰分含量显著提高(P 0.05),而粗脂肪含量以N1组显著增加(P 0.05)。N1和N2组的消化酶活性显著高于对照组(P 0.05)。N2组鱼血清总蛋白、超氧化物歧化酶、过氧化氢酶、碱性磷酸酶、酸性磷酸酶和免疫球蛋白活性显著高于对照组(P 0.05),而葡萄糖、天冬氨酸转氨酶、丙氨酸转氨酶和丙二醛活性显著低于对照组(P0.05)。N2组溶菌酶、甘油三脂和胆固醇与对照组相比无显著差异(P0.05)。N1和N2组肠绒毛高度显著提高,肠绒毛宽度显著增加(P0.05)。攻毒实验表明,珍珠龙胆石斑鱼对哈维氏弧菌(Vibrioharveyi)的抵抗力增强,N2组的累积存活率最高。【结论】在本研究条件下,以增重率、免疫指标和累积存活率为判据,饲料中添加质量分数4%发酵底物不含非蛋白氮的酵母培养物对珍珠龙胆石斑鱼生长性能、免疫和抗病能力的促进作用最显著。  相似文献

【目的】研究姜黄素对四氯化碳诱导的鲤(Cyprinus carpio)肝脏损伤的修复作用,为筛选治疗鱼类肝脏综合征的绿色药物提供理论依据。【方法】在基础饲料中分别添加0、60、120、240 mg/kg姜黄素,制备4种等氮、等能饲料。试验设5组,阴性对照组注射橄榄油,饲喂基础饲料,阳性对照组和各姜黄素组注射体积分数15%的CCl_4溶液,分别以添加0、60、120、240 mg/kg姜黄素饲料饲喂14 d,测定各组谷丙转氨酶(GPT)、谷草转氨酶(GOT)活力,丙二醛(MDA)含量,血浆总蛋白(TP)含量,总能氧化能力(T-AOC),肝脏超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、谷胱甘肽(GSH)、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)活力,以及肝细胞核相关转录因子2(Nrf2)含量等指标,并对各组肝脏细胞进行组织学观察,研究姜黄素对鲤肝损伤的修复作用。【结果】在四氯化碳诱导初期,阳性对照组,60、120、240 mg/kg姜黄素组的GPT、GOT活力和MDA含量显著高于阴性对照组(P 0.05),随着投喂时间的增加,各姜黄素组GPT、GOT活力和MDA含量平均值均有不同程度的降低,其中,120 mg/kg组的GPT、GOT活力和MDA含量以及240mg/kg组的GPT活力差异显著(P0.05);TP含量,T-AOC、SOD、GSH-Px活力,GSH含量的变化趋势与GPT和GOT等相反,且随着投喂时间的增加,120mg/kg组的T-AOC、SOD、GSH-Px活力和TP、GSH含量以及240 mg/kg组的SOD、GSH-Px活力和GSH含量呈先降后升趋势(P 0.05),其余各组差异均不显著(P 0.05);肝脏组织切片显示,饲料中添加姜黄素可一定程度上修复鲤鱼幼鱼的肝脏损伤,且以120 mg/kg组效果最佳;饲料中添加姜黄素可提高鲤鱼肝脏Nrf2 mRNA表达量,促使Nrf2由肝细胞质转至细胞核中。【结论】姜黄素可通过介导Nrf2提高鲤鱼相关抗氧化酶的活力,对鱼体的肝脏损伤进行修复。当姜黄素的添加水平为120 mg/kg时,机体的抗氧化功能最强,对肝脏损伤的修复作用最强。  相似文献

以菠萝(Ananas comosus Merr)为原料,应用改良的方法对菠萝天然酶活力进行测定,对菠萝酶活力变化进行了初步探讨。结果表明:测定未成熟、成熟菠萝酶活力分别为106.10和65.85u/mL;菠萝肉、皮、整果汁酶活力分别为86.98、50.72、55.21u/mL;室温贮藏,酶活力取样时为54.97u/mL,第4天达最高值72.78u/mL,第8天降至43.66u/mL;4℃贮藏,酶活力取样时为54.97u/mL,第2天达最高值71.68u/mL,第4天降至50.12u/mL,即不同温度下贮藏不同时间酶活力变化是先升高后降低。  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to investigate the protein-sparing effect of carbohydrate in diets for juvenile turbot(Scophthalmus maximus) reared at five salinities(12,18,24,30,and 36).The fish were fed three isocaloric and isolipidic diets for 60 days.The results show that specific growth rate(SGR)and feed conversion efficiency(FCE) were higher in fish reared at salinities of 18 and 36,but lower at 12.Fish fed with diet C25P40(25%carbohydrate and 40%protein) had lower SGR and FCE values compared with those fed with the C5P52(5%carbohydrate and 52%protein) and C15P46(15%carbohydrate and 46%protein) diets;however,there was no statistical difference between diet C5P52 and C15P46.SGR and FCE values were unaffected by diet composition in fish reared at salinity 36.Hepatic lipogenic enzyme activities were higher in fish reared at 18 and 36,but lower at 12,while glucokinase(GK) activity was higher in fish reared at 12,and lower at 18 and 36.Dietary starch enhanced GK activity while depressing lipogenic enzyme activity.However,lipogenic enzyme activity increased with increasing dietary starch in fish reared at 36.It is recommended that salinity should be maintained 12 in the farming of juvenile turbot.In addition,an increase in gelatinized starch from 5%to 15%could spare 6%dietary protein in fish reared at salinities of 18-30,while higher salinity(36) could improve dietary carbohydrate use and enhance the protein-sparing effect,which is linked with the induction of lipogenic capacities.  相似文献

Aquaculture production efficiency may increase by using feed additives. This study investigated the effects of different dietary additives [w/w: 2% small peptides, 0.01% probiotics( Bacillus licheniformis) and 0.2% prebiotics(inulin)] on growth performance, digestive enzyme activities, and oxidative stress in juvenile Epinephelus coioides reared in artificial seawater of two salt concentrations(13.5 vs. 28.5). Weight gain rate was significantly higher in fish fed the diet supplemented with small peptides, B. licheniformis, inulin, or synbiotics than that in fish fed the basal diet; the greatest weight gain rate was found in fish fed the small peptide treatment [56.0% higher than basal diet]. Higher feed efficiency was detected in fish fed the diet supplemented with small peptides than that of fish in the other dietary treatments. Total protease activity in the stomach and intestines was highest in fish fed the small peptide-treated diet, whereas lipase activity was highest in those fed synbiotics(combination of Bacillus licheniformis and inulin) than that in fish fed the other treatments. Antioxidant enzyme(total superoxide dismutase and catalase) activities and hepatic malondialdehyde content were higher in fish receiving the dietary supplements and maintained in artificial seawater containing 13.5 salinity compared with those in the control(28.5). Hepatic catalase activity in grouper fed the diets with small peptides or synbiotics decreased significantly compared with that in control fish. Overall, the three types of additives improved growth rate of juvenile grouper and digestive enzymes activities to varying degrees but did not effectively improve antioxidant capacity under low-salinity stress conditions.  相似文献

The disease resistance and humoral immunomodulatory effects of vitamin C administered orally to grouper,Epinephelus awoara maintained on a frozen fish diet supplemented with vitamin C at 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 mg/kg were investigated. After 20 weeks, the growth rates of the groups with high level of vitamin C apparently increased. The untreated fish had symptoms of vitamin C deficiency. The endogenous liver tissue vitamin C levels were found to reflect well the dietary treatments. After intraperitoneal injection or bath challenge with a virulent strain ofVibrio vulnificus, fish fed with high level vitamin C showed significantly higher survival rate compared with the normal control group. Vaccination with formalin inactivatedV. vulnificus significantly enhanced the specific antibody production in fish treated with vitamin C, and completely protected from strong bacterial challenge the groups fed on fish with vitamin C 1500 and 2000 mg/kg diet. Selection of diet for culture of juvenile silver pomfret, Pampus argenteus   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Juvenile silver pomfret, Pampus argenteus, was grown in culture tanks for 9 weeks on four different diets, and their effects on fish growth, digestive enzyme activity, and body composition were assessed. The feeding regime was as follows: Diet 1: fish meat; Diet 2: fish meat+artificial feed; Diet 3: fish meat+artificial feed+Agamaki clam meat; Diet 4: fish meat+artificial feed+Agamaki clam+copepods. The greatest weight gain was associated with Diet 4, while the lowest weight gain was associated with Diet 1. No significant difference was observed in weight gain between fish receiving Diet 2 and Diet 3. Specific growth rate followed similar trends as weight gain. The feed conversion ratio (FCR) of fish fed Diet 1 was significantly higher than the other fish groups, but no significant differences were observed in FCRs of fish fed Diet 2, Diet 3 or Diet 4. There was also no significant difference in the hepatosomatic index (HSI) between the four diets. For fish that received Diets 2-4, containing artificial feed, higher protease activities were detected. A higher lipid content of the experimental diets also significantly increased lipase activities and body lipid content. No significant differences in amylase activity or body protein content were found between Diets 1-4. In conclusion, a variety of food components, including copepods and artificial feed, in the diet of silver pomfret significantly increased digestive enzyme activity and could improve growth performance.  相似文献

褶皱臂尾轮虫(Brachionus plicatilis)与卤虫(Artemia franciscana)无节幼体分别以浓缩小球藻、深海鱼油和鱼肝油强化后,投喂龙虎斑(Epinephelus fuscoguttatus♀×E.lanceolatus♂)仔稚鱼,研究不同强化剂对仔稚鱼生长、存活率、消化酶活力及体成分的影响。结果显示,3种强化剂强化后的生物饵料均可显著提高龙虎斑仔稚鱼的存活率、体长和体质量,差异有统计学意义(P0.05),但对鱼体粗脂肪含量以及肠淀粉酶活力的影响无统计学意义(P0.05)。深海鱼油组仔稚鱼存活率最高,浓缩小球藻可以显著提高胃、肠蛋白酶活性和鱼体粗蛋白含量,各组差异有统计学意义(P0.05),而深海鱼油和鱼肝油可以显著提高肠脂肪酶活性(P0.05)。结果表明,3种强化剂各具优点,均可用于龙虎斑仔稚鱼生物饵料的强化,尤其以深海鱼油提高存活率最显著。  相似文献

A 120-day feeding experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of partial replacement of brown fish meal (BFM) by fermented soybean meal (FSBM) in diets of Chinese soft-shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis). The turtles (initial mean body weight, (115.52 ± 1.05) g) were fed with three experimental diets, in which 0%, 4.72% and 9.44% BFM protein was replaced by 0%, 3% and 6% FSBM, respectively. Results showed that the feeding rate (FR), specific growth rate (SGR) and feed efficiency ratio (FER) of turtles fed with the diet containing 3% FSBM were not significantly different from the control group (0% FSBM) (P > 0.05). However, FR, SGR and FER of turtles fed with the diet containing 6% FSBM were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). No significant differences were observed in the activities of serum glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase and glutamicpyruvic transaminase among dietary treatments (P > 0.05). However, the uric acid concentration in turtles fed with the diet containing 3% or 6% FSBM was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the activities of lysozyme, alkaline phosphatase and total superoxide dismutase among dietary treatments (P > 0.05). The results suggested that FSBM could replace 4.72% BFM protein in turtle diets without exerting adverse effects on turtle growth, feed utilization and measured immune parameters.  相似文献

Starving and re-feeding trials were conducted to evaluate the effects of starvation duration and recovery times on the growth performance and physiological characteristics of juvenile tongue sole Cynoglossus semilaevis, which included growth, body composition, intestinal morphology and digestive enzymes activities. The fish starved for one(D1), two(D2) and four(D4) days, respectively, were recovered for three(R3, R6, R12), seven(R7, R14, R28) and eleven(R11, R22, R44) folds of starvation days while the control fish were fed constantly. The experiment was conducted for 96 days. The fish individuals in D1R11, D2R14 and D2R22 caught up in weight with the control, indicating that complete compensatory growth existed in these fish individuals. The highest body weight gain and total specific growth rates were observed in D2R22. Food intake increased significantly in most treatments in comparison with that of the control except for D1R7 and D2R22(P 0.05). Food conversion efficiency and apparent digest coefficient in D2R22 were significantly promoted, being higher than that of the control(P 0.05). The activities of trypsin and lipase were found to be closely related to the growth performance. The activities of liver and hindgut trypsin, also midgut and hindgut lipase in D2R22 were significantly higher than those of the control(P 0.05). The fold height(HF) of foregut and midgut increased significantly in D2R22, and HF decreased significantly in D1R3, D2R6 and D4R12(P 0.05). On our findings, we may conclude that the optimum starving and re-feeding strategy is starving for 2 days and re-feeding for 22 days. And in this starving and re-feeding strategy, the compensatory growth could be mostly attributed to the promotion of food conversion efficiency and digestibility coefficiency.  相似文献

Hybrid tilapia weighing 7.71 g were reared in seawater at 24.0–29.0°C for 8 weeks. The controls were fed to satiation twice a day throughout the experiment, whereas treatment groups were fed at 0.5%, 1.5% or 3.0% body weight per day for 4 weeks, and then to satiation for the remainder of the experiment. During the first 4-week period, there was a curvilinear relationship between growth rate and ration size. Fish fed 0.5% and 1.5% rations displayed compensatory growth response of 2 weeks duration during realimentation. The weight-adjusted growth rate of fish fed at 3% ration was not significantly different from that of the controls by the end of the experiment, when none of the treatment groups had caught up in body weight with the controls. Hyperphagia was observed for the first 2 weeks of realimenatation in fish previously fed at 3% ration, but persisted for the whole realimentation period in groups previously fed at 0.5% and 1.5% rations. None of the feed restricted groups showed improved digestibility, feed efficiency, or protein and energy retention efficiency.
