During the last decade, partial safety factor systems have been adopted in the design standards of coastal structures, which are based on probabilistic theories but have a format similar to the traditional safety factor system. Tetrapod is one of the widely used breakwater armor units in the world. The previous partial safety factor system was developed based on limited wave and structure data in several locations. In this paper, a partial safety factor system for Tetrapod armor units is developed by performing reliability analysis and optimal code calibration for 116 breakwater cross-sections and wave conditions in 31 harbors in Korea. The partial safety factors associated with different ranges of the shape parameter of the Weibull extreme wave height distribution for different target probabilities of failure are proposed. For other types of extreme distributions, the skewness of the distribution should be calculated and the partial safety factors of the Weibull distribution of the same skewness could be used (the skewness of the Weibull distribution changes with the shape parameter). The developed system is applied to existing breakwaters to examine its applicability.  相似文献

Risk Assessment of Vertical Breakwaters -A Case Study in Turkey   总被引:1,自引:2,他引:1  
In the reliability-risk assessment, the second order reliability index (βⅡ ) method and the Conditional Expectation Monte Carlo (CEMC) simulation are interrelated as a new Level Ⅲ approach for the analysis of the safety level of the Dalaman yacht harbor vertical wall breakwater in Turkey. The missing wave data of the Dalaman measurement station are hindcasted by use of multi-layer feed-forward neural networks with the steepest descent and conjugate gradient algorithms. The structural failure probabilities of sliding and overturning failure modes are forecasted by approximation of the failure sur-face with a second-degree polynomial of an equal curvature at the design point. in the new approach, for each randomly generated load and tide combination, the joint failure probability reflects both the occurrence probability of loading condition and the structural failure risk at the limit state. 防波堤建设费用巨大,且一旦遭到破坏,后果甚为严重,因此,如何准确地计算防波堤的可靠性意义重大.随着人工神经网络理论的快速发展,人工神经网络方法在结构可靠性分析中的应用逐渐得到重视.基于神经网络的Monte Carlo法计算直立式防波堤的可靠性,概率意义明确.以秦皇岛典型直立堤为算例,采用基于神经网络的Monte Carlo法对直立式防波堤进行可靠性分析时,将直立堤滑动破坏和倾覆破坏的极限状态方程中的所有参数均作为变量处理,并将计算结果与Monte Carlo模拟的直接抽样法、重要抽样法以及独立变量JC法的计算结果进行对比.结果表明:基于神经网络的Monte Carlo法和Monte Carlo模拟的直接抽样法、重要抽样法计算结果相近,而比独立变量JC法的计算结果略低.  相似文献

应用可靠度理论对渤海海域中海工结构物桩基础的稳定性进行了可靠度分析,阐述了各个设计指标的变化对分项系数及可靠度指标的影响规律,并进一步对各指标的灵敏度进行比较分析。分析结果表明,在各个设计参数中,厚土层的强度指标和设计荷载是两个相对重要的参数,在渤海海域中应用API标准中规定的荷载抗力系数进行设计是适用的。  相似文献

Marine structures which cover a wide range of offshore and onshore structures are often subjected to different external and internal forces against which a proper design should be performed. Among many, breakwaters constructed over a relatively loose agglomerate of granular soils are much prone to deep seated failure extended beneath the foundation. This type of failure has been given less attention in conventional design approaches. Stability analysis of such failures is the main subject of this research which includes both the static and the seismic stability of breakwaters over granular marine soils. As the subsoil strata in sea beds often comprise loose sand deposits, it is more convenient to assume a rather small angle of dilation, at least at failure, which certainly reduces the potential to resist geotechnical instabilities. The method of stress characteristics along with slight modifications to handle this issue has been used to assess the overall stability of breakwaters against deep seated failures. Investigations revealed that while even under static condition, there is certain potential of failure, under seismic condition, the risk is quite very high. A series of design charts are also developed presenting the factor of stability as a measure of safety against such failure.  相似文献

利用海浪谱JONSWAP谱生成随机波浪,并结合改进的波浪力时程模型生成一个连续的、持续时间相对较长的随机波浪力作用过程。假设五十年设计基准期内防波堤每年遭受一次风暴,利用波浪谱随机生成五十次风暴波浪作用过程,对防波堤五十年设计基准期的响应过程进行一次随机模拟,以此作为一个样本。经过对大量随机模拟产生的样本进行统计分析,实现对防波堤整个设计基准期内的安全度进行概率评估。最后,通过算例对该方法的应用进行了演示。  相似文献

The target reliability index has been effectively used as the best solution to deal with the relationship between the structural safety and the optimal economy in any structural design. However, the target reliability index for off-shore jacket platforms based on different sea areas in China has never been calibrated. This paper presents an approach for its calibration, and suggests many kinds of associated load cases. The uncertainties of loads and structural resistance are mainly investigated. The target reliability index for structural components, tubular joints and piles of offshore jacket platforms are discussed respectively in detail. Finally, through the calibrated results from the offshore jacket platforms of QK18-1, JZ20-2, SZ36-1 and BZ28-1 in the Bohai Bay, it is proposed to adopt 2.8 as the target reliability index of offshore jacket platforms in the Bohai Bay for a 25-year design period. The results provide significant reference for the design of offshore jacket platforms.  相似文献

A series of laboratory experiments was carried out to investigate the strong reflection of regular water waves over a train of submerged breakwaters. Rectangular and trapezoidal shapes of submerged breakwaters are employed and compared for reflecting capability of incident waves. Measured reflection coefficients of regular waves over impermeable submerged breakwaters are verified by comparing with those of the eigenfunction expansion method. A very good agreement is observed. Reflection coefficients of permeable submerged breakwaters are less than those of impermeable breakwaters. The trapezoidal shape is recommended for a submerged breakwater in terms of reflecting capability and practical application.  相似文献

Numerical and laboratory experiments are performed to investigate characteristics of the Bragg reflection due to multi-arrayed trapezoidal submerged breakwaters. The numerical model is based on the Reynolds averaged Navier–Stokes equations with the VOF method and the k–ε turbulence closure model. As expected, the reflection coefficients increase as the array of submerged breakwaters increases in both laboratory measurements and numerical results. The resonant periods provide similar relative wave numbers regardless of the permeability and the number of arrays. The reflection coefficients due to porous breakwaters are smaller than those due to non-porous breakwaters. The velocity contours for two and three arrays are also described.  相似文献

In the present work, the improved version of the meshless singular boundary method(ISBM) is developed for analyzing the performance of bottom standing submerged permeable breakwaters in regular normally incident waves and in the proximity of a vertical wall. Both single and dual prismatic breakwaters of rectangular and trapezoidal forms are examined. The physical problem is cast in terms of the Laplace equation governing an irrotational flow and incompressible fluid motion with appropriate mixed type boundary conditions, and solved numerically using the ISBM. To model the permeability of the breakwaters fully absorbing boundary conditions are assumed. Numerical results are presented in terms of hydrodynamic quantities of the reflection coefficients. These are firstly validated against the results of a multi-domain boundary element method(BEM) developed independently for a previous study. The agreement between the results of the two methods is excellent. The coefficients of reflection are then computed and discussed for a variety of structural conditions including the breakwaters height, width, spacing, and absorbing permeability. Effects of the proximity of the vertical plane wall are also investigated. The breakwater's width is found to have only marginal effects compared with its height. Permeability tends to decrease the minimum reflections. These coefficients show periodic variations with the spacing relative to the wavelength. Trapezoidal breakwaters are found to be more cost-effective than the rectangular breakwaters. Dual breakwater systems are confirmed to perform much better than single structures.  相似文献

分析了防护丁坝冲刷的机理,用概率分析方法研究了在随机因素影响下防护丁坝抗冲刷的可靠性问题.应用Rosen-blatt变换确定防护丁坝抗冲刷破坏的功能函数在随机因素影响下的可靠性指标.提出了用丁坝端部冲刷坑的当量坡度小于冲刷坑坡度的临界值JD作为丁坝抗冲刷破坏的安全(稳定性)准则.分别考虑了水道流速、土颗粒等效直径、冲刷坑半径、冲刷坑后坡度临界值和水流方向角为相关或独立的非高斯随机参数时的可靠性问题.该分析能为防护丁坝系统的抗冲刷可靠性评估和设计提供有实用价值的方法.  相似文献

It is assumed that the storm wave takes place once a year during the design period, and N histories of storm waves are generated on the basis of wave spectrum corresponding to the N-year design period. The responses of the breakwater to the N histories of storm waves in the N-year design period are calculated by mass-spring-dashpot mode and taken as a set of samples. The failure probability of caisson breakwaters during the design period of N years is obtained by the statistical analysis of many sets of samples. It is the key issue to improve the efficiency of the common Monte Carlo simulation method in the failure probability estimation of caisson breakwaters in the complete life cycle. In this paper, the kernel method of importance sampling, which can greatly increase the efficiency of failure probability calculation of caisson breakwaters, is proposed to estimate the failure probability of caisson breakwaters in the complete life cycle. The effectiveness of the kernel method is investigated by an example. It is indicated that the calculation efficiency of the kernel method is over 10 times the common Monte Carlo simulation method.  相似文献

A new load surface based approach to the reliability analysis of caisson-type breakwater is proposed. Uncertainties of the horizontal and vertical wave loads acting on breakwater are considered by using the so-called load surfaces, which can be estimated as functions of wave height, water level, and so on. Then, the first-order reliability method(FORM) can be applied to determine the probability of failure under the wave action. In this way, the reliability analysis of breakwaters with uncertainties both in wave height and in water level is possible. Moreover, the uncertainty in wave breaking can be taken into account by considering a random variable for wave height ratio which relates the significant wave height to the maximum wave height. The proposed approach is applied numerically to the reliability analysis of caisson breakwater under wave attack that may undergo partial or full wave breaking.  相似文献

Interaction of surface gravity waves with multiple vertically moored surface-piercing membrane breakwaters in finite water depth is analyzed based on the linearized theory of water waves. The study is carried out using least square approximation method to understand the effect of the vertical membrane as effective breakwater. Initially the problem is studied for a single membrane wave barrier but for the case of multiple membrane breakwaters the study is carried out using the method of wide-spacing approximation. In the present study, it is observed that the deflection of the membrane is reduced with the increase in the stiffness parameter of the mooring lines attached to the membrane. In the case of single surface-piercing membrane with moored and fixed edge conditions, the reflection and transmission coefficients are compared and analyzed in detail. The resonating pattern in the reflection coefficients are also observed for multiple floating membrane which can also be referred as Bragg's resonance. In the presence of the porosity constant the wave reflection is also observed to be decreasing and the change in the distance between the vertical floating breakwaters also helps in the attenuation of wave height. It is observed that the presence of multiple floating breakwater helps in the reduction of wave height in the transmitted region.  相似文献

Reliable estimation of wave run-up is required for the effective and efficient design of coastal structures when flooding or wave overtopping volumes are an important consideration in the design process. In this study, a unified formula for the wave run-up on bermed structures has been developed using collected and existing data. As data on berm breakwaters was highly limited, physical model tests were conducted and the run-up was measured. Conventional governing parameters and influencing factors were then used to predict the dimensionless run-up level with 2% exceedance probability. The developed formula includes the effect of water depth which is required in understanding the influence of sea level rise and consequent changes of wave height to water depth ratio on the future hydraulic performance of the structures. The accuracy measures such as RMSE and Bias indicated that the developed formula is more accurate than the existing formulas. Additionally, the new formula was validated using field measurements and its superiority was observed when compared to the existing prediction formulas. Finally, the new design formula incorporating the partial safety factor was introduced as a design tool for engineers.  相似文献

波浪对斜坡堤护面结构的冲刷破坏作用受诸多因素的影响,如波浪要素、水深条件、坡面角度、护面块体型式等。在进行某项有关斜坡堤护面块体的课题研究中发现,当防波堤断面结构确定后,护面人工块体的稳定性主要取决于波高及波周期的变化。在进行这方面内容设计计算中,通常波高的取值都能给予足够的重视,但波周期对护面块体稳定性的影响容易被忽视。本研究通过物理模型试验,针对波浪周期对斜坡堤护面块体稳定性的影响进行了总结分析,为防波堤设计提供参考。  相似文献

防波堤是港口工程的重要组成部分,在港口工程总投资中占有较大的比重。准确地计算防波堤的可靠性具有重大的理论和经济意义。随着数理统计理论的快速发展,直接积分法在结构可靠性计算中的应用逐渐得到重视。应用直接积分法计算直立式防波堤的可靠性,概率意义明确,计算精度高。以秦皇岛典型直立堤为算例,采用直接积分法对直立式防波堤进行可靠性分析时,将无限积分区域转换成有限积分区域,分析选择了波浪力和浮托力的联合密度函数,采用数值积分的办法计算失效概率,并将计算结果与独立变量JC法和相关变量JC法的计算结果进行了对比。结果表明:直接积分法和相关变量JC法计算结果相近,而比独立变量JC法计算结果偏低。  相似文献
