脂肪酸不仅是浮游动物的重要组分,也被作为生物标记来指示动物的食物组成及其之间的营养关系。本文运用脂肪酸标记法对长江口附近海区6个浮游动物常见种的食性进行了分析。研究结果表明,中华哲水蚤(Calanus sinicus)雌体和桡足幼体都表现出明显的植食性。但雌体中16:1ω7的含量要明显高于18:4ω3,表明雌体对硅藻的摄食较多;桡足幼体的18:4ω3要高于雌体,说明桡足幼体对甲藻的摄食较多。磷虾(Euphausia spp.)的多不饱和脂肪酸(PUFA)和ω3系列脂肪酸的含量很高,说明其作为饵料可以给摄食者提供较多的脂类营养物质。中华哲水蚤和磷虾较低的22:6ω3/20:5ω3比值说明他们的营养地位较低。箭虫(Sagitta spp.)的20:1和22:1脂肪酸含量很高,指示了其对植食性桡足类的摄食。蝶水母(Ocyropsis crystallina)、瓜水母(Bero cucumis)和四叶小舌水母(Liriopetetraphylla)的20:1+22:1脂肪酸所占比例较高,指示了其对植食性桡足类的摄食,但是水母类的总脂肪酸含量都很低。几种水母和箭虫的22:6ω3的含量要明显高于20:5ω3的含量,说明它们在浮游食物网中具有较高的营养地位。  相似文献

在食物中碳质量浓度为1.0 mg/L的条件下,通过室内实验研究了不同食物对中华哲水蚤(Calanus sinicus)和双刺纺锤水蚤(Acartia bifilosa)无节幼体存活和发育的影响。结果表明,桡足类无节幼体发育速度与存活率之间存在正相关关系。单种食物中粒径较小的微绿球藻和三角褐指藻在桡足类开口摄食期是最适宜的饵料,但在发育后期以及整个发育期则粒径较大的亚心型扁藻和中肋骨条藻更为适宜。在相同的发育阶段,小型桡足类双刺纺锤水蚤和中型桡足类中华哲水蚤对于食物粒径的选择也是不同的。与非硅藻食物相比,硅藻并非桡足类无节幼体发育的理想食物,而单种硅藻对桡足类无节幼体发育的负面影响可以通过对混合食物的摄食得到有效的减弱。  相似文献

全球河口海域屡屡爆发褐潮,但我们对致因种抑食金球藻和浮游桡足类之间的营养关系还不甚清楚。我们就浮游桡足类火腿伪镖水蚤摄食抑食金球藻中国株的单种或混合饵料时的摄食行为和生长、发育等表现进行了研究。研究发现:火腿伪镖水蚤的无节幼体、桡足幼体和成体摄食单种抑食金球藻饵料时,摄食率和食物浓度之间的关系符合米氏方程。较之桡足类幼体和成体,无节幼体摄食抑食金球藻时的Imax(最大摄食率)值最大,同时大于其摄食中肋骨条藻的Imax值。通常情况下,火腿伪镖水蚤在摄食抑食金球藻和中肋骨条藻的混合饵料时避食抑食金球藻,但于无节幼体,这种情况并不明显。无节幼体摄食单种抑食金球藻饵料在无节幼体期末期死亡,无法进入桡足类幼体期,与饥饿状态下的个体相似。但是,饵料中抑食金球藻的存在对桡足幼体的生长无明显效应,但却极大地减少了成体的生殖率。我们的研究表明火腿伪镖水蚤无节幼体,在褐潮的控制中有潜在作用,然而,这种潜在控制作用由于桡足类种群的衰落难以持续。  相似文献

本文观察描述了人工培育的大弹涂鱼仔、稚鱼和早期幼鱼消化器官的发育过程,并对各发育阶段的食性进行较深入的分析。开口摄食期主要摄食微型颗粒有机碎屑;全长3.55mm以上,同时还援食桡足类无节幼体、桡足幼体及其成体;全长7.50mm以上,桡足类成体已取代有机碎屑而成为主要饵料。进入幼鱼期后,转变为摄食底栖硅藻为主,兼食桡足类和海泥中的有机碎屑。  相似文献

桡足类是海洋生态系统中初级生产者和较高营养级消费者之间的关键联系环节,掌握桡足类的现场食物组成对于准确评估海洋食物网中的营养关系和能量转移至关重要。本研究中,我们以中华哲水蚤这一在中国、日本以及韩国近海具有重要生态地位的大型哲水蚤属桡足类为研究对象,应用之前开发的基于PCR的克隆技术,通过分析中华哲水蚤所摄食生物的18S rDNA序列,研究了中华哲水蚤的现场食物组成。结果揭示了南黄海(Y19站位)和渤海(B49站位)中华哲水蚤食物组成的多样性。共检测出43个操作分类单元(OTUs),分别隶属于13个类群:硅藻(Bacillariophyta)、甲藻(Dinoflagellata)、硅鞭藻(Dictyochophyceae)、金藻(Chrysophyta)、Katablepharidophyta、浮生藻(Pelagophyceae)、无根虫(Apusozoa)、水螅水母(Hydrozoa)、栉水母(Ctenophora)、棘皮动物(Echinodermata)、被囊动物(Tunicata)、毛颚动物(Chaetognatha)以及海洋真菌。结果还表明,当发生藻类暴发时,中华哲水蚤可以摄食引发藻类暴发的藻种。当周围海域浮游植物的丰度相对较低时,中华哲水蚤可以选择摄食各种后生动物尤其是水螅水母和栉水母的卵、幼虫或者有机碎屑。我们的研究结果表明中华哲水蚤是一种杂食性桡足类,它对食物的选择依赖其生活海域中食物的可获得性。  相似文献

毛颚类是热带近岸海域中上层鱼类的食物来源, 同时又是重要的肉食性浮游动物, 数量丰富, 然而其维持种群结构的生存策略尚不清晰。本文运用分子生物学技术, 分析了三亚湾海域毛颚类优势种肥胖软箭虫(Flaccisagitta enflata)成体与幼体的肠道食物组成, 以期从食物资源利用的角度揭示其维持种群结构的营养策略。研究结果显示, 幼体和成体摄食的浮游生物种类分别为21种和19种, 共同的食物类群有桡足类、小型水母类、硅藻和多毛类。成体与幼体食物偏好差异显著, 成体主要的食物来源是小型水母类(59%), 而幼体主要的食物来源是桡足类(60%); 幼体营养生态位(5.16)高于成体(2.89), 且二者食物重叠度低(0.21), 表明成体与幼体食物分化明显。研究结果揭示, 即使成体与幼体大量共存, 它们也可以通过摄食分化避免食物资源竞争, 这种分配策略对毛颚类保证足够幼体存活率和维持种群数量具有重要意义。  相似文献

采用气相色谱法对秋季黄海颗粒悬浮物和中华哲水蚤的脂肪酸组成及其指示作用进行了研究。结果表明,黄海表层海水中硅藻所占比例要大于甲藻。硅藻在黄海南部浮游植物中所占比重高于黄海北部,甲藻在黄海南北部的差别不大。从脂肪酸组成来看,中华哲水蚤雌体、雄体和桡足幼体都摄食硅藻和甲藻,雌体和雄体摄食的硅藻远多于甲藻,而桡足幼体摄食的甲藻则比雌体和雄体多。雄体和桡足幼体植食性的程度高于雌体,而雌体则可能由于繁殖活动的需要,还摄食了原生动物等其它一些营养丰富的食物。对冷水团内外中华哲水蚤脂肪酸组成研究发现,桡足幼体比雌体积累了更多的脂肪酸以满足度夏过程中的能量需求和后期繁殖的需要。  相似文献

核酸指标可表征桡足类营养及生长状态, 然而多物种和多指标比较研究的相对缺乏却限制了现场海区调查中对核酸标志物的广泛应用。本研究测定了系列饵料浓度(0.2~2.0μg C·mL-1)喂食的安氏伪镖水蚤Pseudodiaptomus annandalei的桡足幼体Ⅱ期个体的摄食率、生长率及成体产卵率, 并就生化组成, 包括RNA含量、DNA含量、蛋白含量(以下简写为PRO)、RNA:DNA、RNA:PRO、DNA:PRO及元素组成(N含量、P含量、C:N 和C:P比值)进行定量分析和计算。摄食率、生长率、产卵率及桡足幼体的RNA相关的核酸指标随饵料浓度的变化趋势均符合双曲线模型, 而雌性成体中仅RNA:DNA比值符合此模型。对RNA相关指标与各生理参数的相关性分析显示, 桡足幼体的RNA相关指标均与摄食率及生长率呈显著线性相关性, 显著程度的顺序为RNA:DNA>RNA:PRO>RNA含量; 雌性成体中RNA:DNA及RNA:PRO比值与产卵率显著相关, 前者的相关性远较后者显著。此结果表明, 在常用的现场浮游桡足类调查的标志比值(RNA:DNA比值或RNA含量)之外, RNA:PRO比值亦可作为指示桡足类生长状态的标志比值, 但是当指示体生长时, 桡足类必须处于同一生长阶段。RNA相关指标与饵料浓度之间稳固的双曲线相关性提示我们, RNA相关指标可帮助评估桡足类的饵料环境。  相似文献

浮游桡足类是连接海洋初级生产者和较高营养级生物的关键类群,了解其食物组成是理解海洋生态系统中物质与能量流通途径的基础。本文通过分子生物学手段研究大亚湾三门岛海域桡足类优势种锥形宽水蚤(Temora turbinata)现场食物组成,共检测出6种食物类群(住囊虫、甲藻、绿藻、有孔虫类、棘皮类、苔藓类),住囊虫是主要被摄食的生物类群(45.94%),其次是青绿藻纲(Prasinophyceae)的微微型真核自养生物(29.73%),另外还检测出2种锥形宽水蚤可能摄食的赤潮甲藻种类(Takayama acrotrocha和Karlodinium veneficum)。研究结果揭示了在食物限制环境下锥形宽水蚤灵活的摄食策略,突出了浮游动物在摄食传递过程及生态系统中的关键地位,将有助于解释浮游动物摄食行为在维持近岸生态系统平衡与稳定性中的作用。  相似文献

采用脂肪酸标记法和碳氮稳定同位素比值法研究了东海6个水母常见种的食性。结果表明,6种水母的总脂肪酸含量都不高,说明作为饵料,水母不能够给捕食者提供较多的脂类营养物质。蝶水母(Ocyropsis crystallina)、瓜水母(Bero cucumis)和四叶小舌水母(Liriope tetraphylla)的脂肪酸组成较为相近,它们更多地通过捕食食物链获得有机质。同时,这几种小型水母摄食浮游植物(主要是硅藻和甲藻)比其它几种水母多;另外,它们对植食性桡足类也有一定的摄食。4月份墨绿多管水母(Aequorea coerulescens)主要通过腐生食物链获取有机质;另外,其对植食性桡足类也有一定的摄食。双生水母(Diphyidae spp.)参与腐生食物链也较多;另外,20:1+22:1含量较低指示了其对植食性桡足类几乎不摄食。蝶水母、瓜水母、四叶小舌水母和沙海蜇(Nemopilema nomurai)的δ13C更接近于陆源的C4植物的δ13C,说明其受陆源影响较大。δ15N特征结果表明,蝶水母、瓜水母和四叶小舌水母(Liriope tetraphylla)在浮游食物网中均处于较高营养级,沙海蜇虽个体较大,但由于其摄食器官较小,故其与这3种小型水母的营养地位相近。并且相对于其它几种水母,沙海蜇细菌脂肪酸标记更为明显。  相似文献

As part of a broader field study examining the potentially deleterious effects of diatoms on planktonic food webs, we examined the abundance, stage composition, diet, and feeding success of the chaetognath, Sagitta elegans, and the abundance and morphometric condition of larval Pacific hake, Merluccius productus. Our objective was to look for a relationship between spring phytoplankton blooms and planktonic predators, as mediated by their copepod prey, with special reference to possible deleterious effects of diatoms. Zooplankton were collected weekly during February–May and in mid-summer of 2002 and 2003 in Dabob Bay, Washington State, USA. S. elegans abundance was high in summer of both years and was higher in spring 2003 than spring 2002. Larval chaetognaths dominated the population in early spring and remained present throughout sampling. S. elegans consumed mostly copepods. The abundance of larval S. elegans was correlated with the abundance of copepodites, although no relationship between chaetognath feeding success and prey abundance was found. Larval Pacific hake abundance was high (1200 larvae per square meter) in late February and early March of 2002 and 2003 and decreased rapidly in late spring. The morphometric condition of M. productus was not significantly related to copepod abundance. These results indicate that any deleterious effects of diatoms on copepod abundance, at the scale seen during spring 2002 and 2003 in Dabob Bay, did not greatly affect the next higher trophic level.  相似文献

Centropages tenuiremis is a species with a wide distribution range in disturbed coastal waters.However,due to a lack of dietary information,it remains unclear as to how they maintain such dominance in fluctuating conditions.In this study,C.tenuiremis was collected from the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant both in inlet and outfall regions at 06:00,12:00 and 18:00 on April 27,2011 and their in situ diet was analyzed using a PCR protocol targeting 18S ribosomal genes.Thirty-four species of prey organisms were identified totally,including Dinophyta,Baciliariophyta,Viridiplantae,Rhizaria,Apicomplexa,Chordata,Mollusca,Arthropoda and Fungi,indicating an obvious omnivorous feeding habit of C.tenuiremis.Centropages tenuiremis obviously exhibited spatial and temporal variations in diet composition.More plant prey(land plants and phytoplankton)were consumed in the morning(~50%),while more animal prey(metazoans and protozoans)were ingested at midday and night(60%–70%).Furthermore,a more diverse diet was detected in the outfall region(10–11 taxa),where the temperatures were relatively higher and more fluctuating,than in the control region(5–10 taxa).This finding indicated that C.tenuiremis could potentially expand its food spectrum under stressful condition.Specifically,C.tenuiremis exhibited phytoplankton preference(58.62%–67.64%)in the outfall region with a lower omnivory index(0.27–0.35)than in the control region(0.51–0.95).However,phytoplankton density was lower than that in the control region,suggesting a possible herbivorous tendency of C.tenuiremis under elevated temperatures to balance the energy acquirement and feeding effort.The flexible food choices of C.tenuiremis observed here could effectively buffer environmental fluctuations and might be an important survival strategy in coastal ecosystems.  相似文献

The feeding behaviour of adults of the marine calanoid copepod Centropages hamatus was studied in laboratory experiments with ciliates and phytoplankton as food sources. The ingestion rate of algal (flagellates, diatoms) and ciliate prey (oligotrichs) as a function of prey concentration could be described by a Holling type III functional response, with close to zero ingestion rates at concentrations below 5 µg C l− 1. In general, ingestion of ciliates was higher than ingestion of algae, and maximum feeding rates by adult males reached were half the feeding rates of adult females at prey concentrations exceeding 50 µg C l− 1. When diatoms and ciliates were offered together C. hamatus (both sexes) fed exclusively on ciliates as long as they contributed with more than 5% to the mixture. This indicates the capability of active prey selection and switching between suspension feeding and ambush predation. Therefore, the feeding behaviour of adult C. hamatus can be characterised as omnivorous with a preference for larger motile prey. This implies a trophic level above two, if there is a sufficient abundance of protozoan food available.  相似文献

The HAUSGARTEN observatory is located in the eastern Fram Strait (Arctic Ocean) and used as long-term monitoring site to follow changes in the Arctic benthic ecosystem. Linear inverse modelling was applied to decipher carbon flows among the compartments of the benthic food web at the central HAUSGARTEN station (2500 m) based on an empirical data set consisting of data on biomass, prokaryote production, total carbon deposition and community respiration. The model resolved 99 carbon flows among 4 abiotic and 10 biotic compartments, ranging from prokaryotes up to megafauna. Total carbon input was 3.78±0.31 mmol C m−2 d−1, which is a comparatively small fraction of total primary production in the area. The community respiration of 3.26±0.20 mmol C m−2 d−1 is dominated by prokaryotes (93%) and has lower contributions from surface-deposit feeding macro- (1.7%) and suspension feeding megafauna (1.9%), whereas contributions from nematode and other macro- and megabenthic compartments were limited to <1%. The high prokaryotic contribution to carbon processing suggests that functioning of the benthic food web at the central HAUSGARTEN station is comparable to abyssal plain sediments that are characterised by strong energy limitation. Faunal diet compositions suggest that labile detritus is important for deposit-feeding nematodes (24% of their diet) and surface-deposit feeding macrofauna (∼44%), but that semi-labile detritus is more important in the diets of deposit-feeding macro- and megafauna. Dependency indices on these food sources were also calculated as these integrate direct (i.e. direct grazing and predator–prey interactions) and indirect (i.e. longer loops in the food web) pathways in the food web. Projected sea-ice retreats for the Arctic Ocean typically anticipate a decrease in the labile detritus flux to the already food-limited benthic food web. The dependency indices indicate that faunal compartments depend similarly on labile and semi-labile detritus, which suggests that the benthic biota may be more sensitive to changes in labile detritus inputs than when assessed from diet composition alone. Species-specific responses to different types of labile detritus inputs, e.g. pelagic algae versus sympagic algae, however, are presently unknown and are needed to assess the vulnerability of individual components of the benthic food web.  相似文献

Samples collected during four cruises on board R.S. Africana were used to study the trophic ecology and feeding behaviour of Engraulis capensis in the southern Benguela region. Previous work had indicated that this species was a non-selective filter-feeding omnivore, diatoms comprising the bulk of the diet. The results of the present study reveal that anchovies selectively feed on mesozooplankton, especially calanoid copepods and euphausiids. Investigation of the feeding behaviour of the species indicates that raptorial feeding is dominant over filter-feeding and that prey appears to be selected primarily on the basis of size.  相似文献

The accumulation and retention of 241Am by the pelagic tunicate Oikopleura dioica were examined using laboratory cultures and radiotracer methodology. Animals (i.e., trunks and tails) and discarded empty houses accumulated Am from seawater, giving volume/volume concentration factors of 59±8 and 10±1, respectively. The half-time for retention of Am in empty labelled houses transferred to non-contaminated seawater was 29 h; the retention half-time of Am in houses discarded by larvaceans feeding on Am-labelled diatoms was 219 h; the half-time of Am in fecal pellets produced by animals feeding on a monospecific diet of diatoms was 134 h, and 247 h for fecal pellets from animals fed a mixed diet. Approximately 30% of filtered cells remained in houses after the houses were discarded. Sinking rates of discarded houses and fecal pellets were found to vary with temperature and size, ranging from 26–157 m day?1 (house) and from 25–166 m day?1 (fecal pellets). The ubiquity and abundance of appendicularians, together with their prodigious production of houses (e.g., 10±2 houses day?1 at 17°C for each experimental animal) point to their potential significance in the vertical transport of Am, and probably other reactive metals, to intermediate depths in the ocean.  相似文献

Food differentiation among coexistent species in the field is important strategy for copepods to acquire materials and maintain population stabilization.In situ diet analysis of co-occurring six copepod species in coral waters of the Sanya Bay was conducted using a PCR protocol based on 18 S ribosomal gene.Various prey organisms were uncovered,including dinoflagellate,diatom,green algae and plant,protozoa and metazoan.All these spatially coexisting six species showed different dietary diversity,with the food niche breadth(B)ranging from 1.00(Temora turbinate in morning)to 10.68(Calanopia elliptica in night).While food overlap between all these copepods were low,with the average value of the diet niche overlap index being approximately 0.09.Even temporally co-existing species sampled from the same time point fed on different groups of prey items with the food overlap index of 0.04 to 0.07 in midday and night but 0 in morning.As the most important dominant copepod in the Sanya Bay,Subeucalanus subcrassus seems to be capable to regulate its feeding,by exhibiting a rhythm of herbivorous feeding in midday and carnivorous feeding in morning and night,to better coordinate with other competitors for utilization of food resources.For most copepods,none of the prey items belonged to the dominant phytoplankton in the ambient water,indicating that copepod can better their survival by widening the choice of potential food resources in food limited environment.The dietary separation observed here might be important strategy for copepod to maintain population stabilization and thriving in the Sanya coastal waters.  相似文献

于1992年8月-1993年6月期间,在渤海进行渔业资源增殖生态基础调查, 型浮游生物网采取浮游动物样品,从中取出400个消化道内含有食物的中华水蚤标本。分析结果表明:中华哲水蚤营浮游植物食性,主要摄食硅藻类、辐射圆筛藻、偏心圆筛藻,未查明的圆筛藻和星脐圆筛藻是它的主要摄食对象。合计占89.2%;此外,也摄食很少量的甲藻类,金藻类和纤毛虫类,它在渤海所摄食的食物类群,季节变化不大,食物类九更替率各  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Recruiting King George whiting Sillaginodes punctatus were studied to assess the potential for food competition with permanent resident fish species in a nursery habitat. Marine migrant post larval S. punctatus (<60?mm TL) consumed primarily harpacticoid copepods and had high (>0.6) diet overlap with permanent resident fish species Favonigobius leteralis and Stigmatopora nigra. Food electivity index indicated that S. punctatus juveniles preferred harpacticoid copepods and amphipods, while juvenile Heteroclinus adelaide and Gymnapistes marmoratus migrating to the nursery habitat targeted larger prey such as amphipods. Preference for larger prey by H. adelaide and G. marmoratus species coupled with differences in prey composition in the stomach was due to mouth size and feeding habits, resulting in different food preferences to S. punctatus. The whiting showed an ontogenetic shift in diet with early settlers (>60?mm TL) consuming less copepods and more amphipods, while previous year recruits (>120?mm TL) consumed polychaete worms. This study indicates that competition for food resources between the new recruiting S. punctatus juveniles and permanent resident juveniles is reduced through differences in temporal and spatial feeding behaviours, mouth morphology, and ontogenetic shift in prey consumption.  相似文献
