An integrated dynamic model of China’s deep ocean mining system is developed and the fast simulation analysis of its longitudinal reciprocating motion operation processes is achieved. The seafloor tracked miner is built as a three-dimensional single-body model with six-degree-of-freedom. The track-terrain interaction is modeled by partitioning the track-terrain interface into a certain number of mesh elements with three mutually perpendicular forces, including the normal force, the longitudinal shear force and the lateral shear force, acting on the center point of each mesh element. The hydrodynamic force of the miner is considered and applied. By considering the operational safety and collection efficiency, two new mining paths for the miner on the seafloor are proposed, which can be simulated with the established single-body dynamic model of the miner. The pipeline subsystem is built as a three-dimensional multi-body discrete element model, which is divided into rigid elements linked by flexible connectors. The flexible connector without mass is represented by six spring-damper elements. The external hydrodynamic forces of the ocean current from the longitudinal and lateral directions are both considered and modeled based on the Morison formula and applied to the mass center of each corresponding discrete rigid element. The mining ship is simplified and represented by a general kinematic point, whose heave motion induced by the ocean waves and the longitudinal and lateral towing motions are considered and applied. By integrating the single-body dynamic model of the miner and the multi-body discrete element dynamic model of the pipeline, and defining the kinematic equations of the mining ship, the integrated dynamic model of the total deep ocean mining system is formed. The longitudinal reciprocating motion operation modes of the total mining system, which combine the active straight-line and turning motions of the miner and the ship, and the passive towed motions of the pipeline, are proposed and simulated with the developed 3D dynamic model. Some critical simulation results are obtained and analyzed, such as the motion trajectories of key subsystems, the velocities of the buoyancy modules and the interaction forces between subsystems, which in a way can provide important theoretical basis and useful technical reference for the practical deep ocean mining system analysis, operation and control.  相似文献

In order to achieve the complex dynamic analysis of the self-propelled seafloor pilot miner moving on the seafloor of extremely cohesive soft soil and further to make it possible to integrate the miner system with some subsystems to form the complete integrated deep ocean mining pilot system and perform dynamic analysis, a new method for the dynamic modeling and analysis of the miner is proposed and developed in this paper, resulting in a simplified 3D single-body vehicle model with three translational and three rotational degrees of freedom, while the track-terrain interaction model is built by partitioning the track-terrain interface into discrete elements with parameterized force elements built on the theory of terramechanics acting on each discrete element. To evaluate and verify the correctness and effectiveness of this new modeling and analysis method, typical comparative studies with regard to computational efficiency and solution accuracy are carried out between the traditional modeling method of building the tracked vehicle as a multi-body model and the new modeling method. In full consideration of the particular structure design of the pilot miner, the special characteristics of the seafloor soil and the hydrodynamic force of near-seafloor current, the dynamic simulation analysis of the miner is performed and discussed, which can provide useful guidance and reference for the practical miner system in design and operation. This new method can not only realize the rapid dynamic simulation analysis of the miner but also make possible the integration and rapid dynamic analysis of the complete integrated deep ocean mining pilot system in further researches.  相似文献

采用卷管法进行海底管道铺设过程中,管道首先通过牵引作用上卷于卷筒进行储存。管道与卷筒发生非线性接触,可能会产生复杂的塑性变形和局部屈曲。通过全尺寸柔性管力学性能试验获得柔性管轴力—应变以及弯曲—曲率等非线性力学性能关系,将试验所得的非线性材料性能参数导入建立的两种柔性管上卷ABAQUS有限元模型(梁—实体单元模型与壳和桁架—实体单元模型),实现柔性管较大轴向抗拉刚度和较小抗弯刚度的同步模拟以及管道与卷筒的非线性接触响应特征。通过对比分析两种有限元模型数值模拟得到的管道弯矩、弯曲曲率、管道轴力、管道与卷筒的接触压强等数据,发现在管道上卷过程中管道沿副法线方向的SM3弯矩占据其弯曲变形主导地位;管道与卷筒之间的摩擦效应对于管道轴力的影响较为显著;管道与卷筒的最大接触压强主要发生在卷管过渡段区域。  相似文献

在寒区海域,冰荷载是影响海洋平台安全运行的主要环境荷载之一,由其引起的冰激振动给平台结构及其上部设备带来了严重危害。为分析不同冰况下平台的振动响应,本文建立了导管架海洋平台冰激振动的离散元(DEM)-有限元(FEM)耦合模型。采用具有黏接-破碎性能的等粒径球体离散单元对海冰的破碎特性进行模拟,通过由梁单元构建的海洋平台有限元模型获得结构的振动响应。在离散元与有限元的接触区域中实现了两个模型间计算参数的传递。为提高该耦合模型的计算效率和规模,发展了基于动力子结构方法的DEM-FEM耦合模型。为验证该耦合模型的有效性和可行性,将不同冰况下得到的冰荷载与ISO19906和JTS 144-1-2010标准进行了对比。结果表明,计算得到的冰荷载与标准相近,且冰厚与冰荷载呈二次非线性关系。同时,从冰速和冰厚两方面对比了渤海四桩腿JZ20-2 MUQ锥体导管架平台冰激振动加速度的数值结果和现场实测数据,发现冰速与振动加速度呈线性关系,冰厚与振动加速度呈二次非线性关系,并且振动加速度与冰速和冰厚平方的乘积呈线性关系。  相似文献

The present study addresses essentially to the investigation of the longitudinal vibrations of a stepped-pipe string for mining from deep-sea floors. The stepped-pipe string, consisting of four parts having different physical properties in each pipe string segment, is assumed to have two pump modules and a buffer, each of which is equipped with a vibration absorber. Moreover, the pipe string is subjected to external viscous damping because of the surrounding medium. A theoretical analysis has been made for a simplified model of the system, in which it is assumed that both the pump modules and buffer can be considered as concentrated masses, the fluid inside of the pipe string vibrates together with the string, and that the flexible pipe does not affect the vibration of the pipe string. Furthermore, absorbers are modeled as concentrated masses, each of which is attached to pump modules and the buffer by springs and dampers. Applying the method of separation of variables, exact analytical solutions for damped free and forced responses of the system subjected to heave motion of the mining ship are determined with and without absorbers, in which overdamped and underdamped modes are determined and studied separately too. It is important to note that the solutions obtained are expressed in terms of parameters characterizing the physical properties of the system under consideration. Numerical applications show that the attachment of convenient vibration absorbers causes the longitudinal displacements at the certain locations to decrease to very small values, where the vibration absorbers are adjusted to the excitation frequency.  相似文献

Considering the discontinuous characteristics of sea ice on various scales,a modified discrete element model(DEM) for sea ice dynamics is developed based on the granular material rheology.In this modified DEM,a soft sea ice particle element is introduced as a self-adjustive particle size function.Each ice particle can be treated as an assembly of ice floes,with its concentration and thickness changing to variable sizes under the conservation of mass.In this model,the contact forces among ice particles are calculated using a viscous-elastic-plastic model,while the maximum shear forces are described with the Mohr-Coulomb friction law.With this modified DEM,the ice flow dynamics is simulated under the drags of wind and current in a channel of various widths.The thicknesses,concentrations and velocities of ice particles are obtained,and then reasonable dynamic process is analyzed.The sea ice dynamic process is also simulated in a vortex wind field.Taking the influence of thermodynamics into account,this modified DEM will be improved in the future work.  相似文献

Unbonded flexible pipes have superior fatigue performance as the internal armor layers are allowed to move relative to each other, leading to reduced structural loading. The main interactions between the internal layers are the contact forces and the frictional forces. Frictional interaction leads to a complex non-linear response of unbonded flexible pipes making prediction of cyclic bending fatigue a demanding task. Nevertheless, detailed understanding of local armor wire stresses and the related fatigue phenomena is of paramount importance as unbonded flexible risers are often operated close to their mechanical limits. This paper presents a method for calculating the tensile armor wire loading and the hysteresis effect on flexible pipes when subjected to tension, and non-symmetric cyclic bending. The effect of non-symmetric cyclic bending with different tensile armor lay angles, and frictional conditions are studied. The analysis uses an efficient repeated unit cell finite element model, allowing the analysis to be performed on a desktop computer. The study shows that the tensile armor wires gradually translate towards the compression side of the pipe bending plane, when the unbonded flexible pipe is subjected to combined tension and non-symmetric cyclic bending. In the analysis, cyclic bending is applied until steady-state in the bending response is achieved over a full bending cycle. The global bending response of the flexible pipe and the tensile armor wire loading conditions for fully stabilized non-symmetric cyclic bending become symmetric around the frictionless state for the mean cyclic bending curvature. An approximate analytic model for the tensile armor in the stabilized cycle, based on symmetric bending about the geodesic curve corresponding to the mean pipe curvature, is proposed.  相似文献

研究了阻尼防振锤对深水导管架圆管风致涡激振动的抑制。建立了防振锤动力学模型,分析了防振锤的动力学特性;将在建深水导管架圆管简化为固支梁,建立了结构有限元模型,通过瞬态分析计算了圆管的振动幅值;在圆管中部添加防振锤,分析了防振锤对圆管振动的抑制效果;进行了现场测试,对比了数值模拟和实际测试管道的振动响应。研究表明,文中设计的防振锤可以有效地抑制圆管的涡激共振;数值模拟结果与测试结果非常接近,验证了数值分析方法的有效性。  相似文献

The ice resistance on a ship hull affects the safety of the hull structure and the ship maneuvering performance in icecovered regions.In this paper,the discrete element method(DEM)is adopted to simulate the interaction between level ice and ship hull.The level ice is modeled with 3D bonded spherical elements considering the buoyancy and drag force of the water.The parallel bonding approach and the de-bonding criterion are adopted to model the freezing and breakage of level ice.The ship hull is constructed with rigid triangle elements.To improve computational efficiency,the GPU-based parallel computational algorithm was developed for the DEM simulations.During the interaction between the ship hull and level ice,the ice cover is broken into small blocks when the interparticle stress approaches the bonding strength.The global ice resistance on the hull is calculated through the contacts between ice elements and hull elements during the navigation process.The influences of the ice thickness and navigation speed on the dynamic ice force are analyzed considering the breakage mechanism of ice cover.The Lindqvist and Riska formulas for the determination of ice resistance on ship hull are employed to validate the DEM simulation.The comparison of results of DEM,Lindqvist,and Riska formula show that the DEM result is between those the Lindqvist formula and Riska formula.Therefore the proposed DEM is an effective approach to determine the ice resistance on the ship hull.This work can be aided in the hull structure design and the navigation operation in ice-covered fields.  相似文献

管内流动会影响输流管的振动响应,目前关于输流弹性管涡激振动方面的研究较少。基于计算流体力学(CFD)方法,开展内外流对细长输流弹性管振动特性影响的研究。首先在不考虑内流的情况下将弹性管涡激振动数值预报结果与模型试验数据进行对比,验证了数值方法的可靠性。再者考虑内外流耦合作用情况下,对不同内流流速下细长输流弹性管振动位移时—空分布、顺流向最大平均偏移、振动轨迹、内部横向涡的形成与分布等进行了对比分析。结果发现,与外流流速相比,内流流速的增加虽然难以改变弹性管的主振模态,但对沿管体的振动强度影响显著。顺流向最大偏移处管体运动轨迹发生明显的变形和跳跃。在剪切外流和均匀内流对弹性管的联合作用下,沿管跨方向模态间能量转换频繁,伴随着间歇性出现或消失的沿弹性管传播的行波组分,这主要归因于复杂的双重流固耦合系统(外流—管体,内流—管体)。在内流以附加质量力、离心力和科氏力形式的激励下,弹性管内二次流现象明显。在振动过程中,内部横向涡沿管壁生成、脱落并逐渐散布于整个横截面。  相似文献

非黏结柔性管道骨架层由不锈钢材料互锁缠绕而成,主要用于抵抗外压防止软管发生压溃失效.骨架层失效是柔性软管故障的最大风险,骨架层失效模式主要分为压溃失效和拉伸失效.采用非线性有限元方法并且考虑几何大变形、材料非线性、接触和摩擦等非线性效应的影响,对"S"型骨架层结构建立三维有限元模型,进行了单外压作用下的压溃失效分析和单一轴向拉力作用下的拉伸失效分析,而后开展轴向拉力和外压载荷组合作用下骨架层压溃失效分析.结果表明轴向拉力会一定程度上降低骨架层压溃承载力,相关结论可以为柔性软管结构设计和完整性评价提供参考.  相似文献

Owing to the complexity of the pipe-in-pipe (PIP) riser system in structure, load and restraint, many problems arise in the structural analysis of the system. This paper presents a new method for nonlinear static finite element stress analysis of the PIP riser system. The finite element (FE) model of the PIP riser system is built via software AutoPIPE 6.1. According to the specialties of a variety of components in the PIP riser system, different elements are used so as to model the system accurately. Allowing for the complication in modeling the effects of seabed restraint, a technique based on the bilinear spring concept is developed to calculate the soil properties. Then, based on a pipeline project, the entire procedure of stress analysis is discussed in detail, including creation of an FE model, processing of input data and analysis of results. A wide range of loading schemes is investigated to ascertain that the stresses remain within the acceptable range of the pipe material strength. Finally, the effects of the location of flanges, the thermal expansion of submarine pipelines and the seabed restraint on stress distribution in the riser and expansion loop are studied, which are valuable for pipeline designers.  相似文献

Mass loss caused by glacier calving is one of the direct contributors to global sea level rise. Reliable calving laws are required for accurate modelling of ice sheet mass balance. Both continuous and discontinuous methods have been used for glacial calving simulations. In this study, the discrete element method(DEM) based on dilated polyhedral elements is introduced to simulate the calving process of a tidewater glacier. Dilated polyhedrons can be obtained from the Minkowski sum of a sphere and a core polyhedron. These elements can be utilized to generate a continuum ice material, where the interaction force between adjacent elements is modeled by constructing bonds at the joints of the common faces. A hybrid fracture model considering fracture energy is introduced. The viscous creep behavior of glaciers on long-term scales is not considered. By applying buoyancy and gravity to the modelled glacier, DEM results show that the calving process is caused by cracks which are initialized at the top of the glacier and spread to the bottom. The results demonstrate the feasibility of using the dilated polyhedral DEM method in glacier simulations, additionally allowing the fragment size of the breaking fragments to be counted. The relationship between crack propagation and internal stress in the glacier is analyzed during calving process. Through the analysis of the Mises stress and the normal stress between the elements, it is found that geometric changes caused by the glacier calving lead to the redistribution of the stress. The tensile stress between the elements is the main influencing factor of glacier ice failure. In addition, the element shape,glacier base friction and buoyancy are studied, the results show that the glacier model based on the dilated polyhedral DEM is sensitive to the above conditions.  相似文献

Combined multi-body dynamics with structural dynamics,a new discrete element with flexibleconnector,which is applicable for 3-D beam structures,is developed in this paper.Both the generalizedelastic coefficient matrix of the flexible connector and the mass matrix of discrete element may be off-diag-onal in a general case.The zero-length rigid element is introduced to simulate the node at which multiple el-ements are jointed together.It may also be effective when the axes of adjacent elements are not in the sameline.The examples for eigenvalue calculation show that the model is successful.It can be extended to thegeometric nonlinear response analysis.  相似文献

当船舶在冰区航行时,螺旋桨会与海冰相互碰撞并导致桨叶的变形和损坏,进而影响船舶的航行安全。为研究海冰与螺旋桨的相互作用过程,采用离散元(DEM)—有限元(FEM)耦合方法构建海冰—螺旋桨切削模型。海冰和螺旋桨模型分别采用具有黏结—破碎特性的球体离散单元和8节点六面体有限单元构造。基于该DEM-FEM耦合模型讨论了不同切削深度下,螺旋桨所承受冰载荷的特点和规律;最后,研究了螺旋桨切削海冰过程中进速系数、推力系数、扭矩系数之间的对应关系,并讨论了海冰—螺旋桨相互作用过程中冰压力、Mises应力和变形的分布特点。以上研究可为寒区船舶安全航行和螺旋桨设计提供有益的参考。  相似文献

Flexible marine risers are commonly used in deepwater floating systems.Bend stiffeners are designed to protect flexible risers against excessive bending at the connection with the hull.The structure is usually analyzed as a cantilever beam subjected to an inclined point load.As deflections are large and the bend stiffener material exhibits nonlinear stress-strain characteristics,geometric and material nonlinearities are important considerations.A new approach has been developed to solve this nonlinear problem.Its main advantage is its simplicity;in fact the present method can be easily implemented on a spreadsheet.Finite element analysis using ABAQUS is performed to validate the method.Solid elements are used for the bend stiffener and flexible pipe.To simulate the near inextensibility of flexible risers,a simple and original idea of using truss elements is proposed.Through a set of validation studies,the present method is found to be in a good agreement with the finite element analysis.Further,parametric studies are performed by using both methods to identify the key parameters and phenomena that are most critical in design.The most important finding is that the common practice of neglecting the internal steel sleeve in the bend stiffener analysis is non-conservative and therefore needs to be reassessed.  相似文献
